First time ever writing a google review. I have two things I want to share my experience here.
1 The Pho was disappointed. The broth tasted weird like a thick powdery taste and the meat was chunky cut compared to other places I’ve been to. Don’t waste your time ordering pho here.
#2 I was coming back from the bathroom, I thought it would be easier if I just paid up front. So I did and the waitress walked by the register and saw me making payment with the front lady. I requested for a to go box. The nice front lady handed to me. The waitress started complaining behind the register (in her language) to the front lady about me asking for a to go box—saying she had left a to go box at my table. Again, I was in the bathroom and went straight to the register so how would I know? The waitress didn’t look too happy at the front register.
As I made my way back to my table to retrieved my leftover, the waitress followed me and reminded me that I shouldn’t go up front for assistance because the front lady is just the front person. Waitress was giving her two cents in front of customers! I was really uncomfortable.
Honestly at this point I feel more comfortable asking the front person rather than asking her. I did not feel comfortable around her. She is overall obnoxious.
I left feeling irritated—but thankfully my partner was still inside the restaurant. The waitress made a LOUD comment if we paid yet. Remember I mentioned that the waitress saw me paying up front with the front lady. To make an accusation scene, she obviously was upset I paid up front. It’s not a big deal but since it’s a big deal to her. Im willing to share my experience on here.
How do you intentionally accused your customer’s of not paying and trying to make your customer the culprit here when you indeed—saw your customer paid up front. I like customer service with...
Read moreI love this little gem of a place, where the selection is very good, the food is wonderful, and the prices are excellent. I have been coming since they first opened, and although I moved to Washington in 2018, Simplee Pho us always my first meal when I come back to town! Their food and service has been consistently superior to almost all other Chinese restaurants I’ve ever been to, and although it’s a little strip mall shop you would never know it by tasting the food, which is fresh and generously portioned.
I hope they stay in business for a very long time, and I wish they would expand to Seattle, which imho has plenty of Chinese restaurants but very few good ones… I was worried that COVID would take them out, but was overjoyed to see them still going strong during my visits in 2020. Now I’m back in 2021 and impatiently waiting for them to open at 11:00 am, since I got into town too late last night to have dinner due to highway construction - this was to be my reward for a grueling drive through torrential rain during my last leg from Bismarck to Lakeville, & I felt so robbed - yeah, I feel just a bit strongly about this place, and I hope this review convinces you to try them - you just might find YOUR new favorite, too, so just trust me and GO!
My personal favorite dishes are the Kung Pao Chicken, Honey Walnut Shrimp, Singapore Rice Noodles (no one does this one as well, imho), and the Vietnamese Noodle Salad with Grilled Shrimp. You can't really go wrong here, & there's something for everybody… try it out...
Read moreMy partner and I decided to try a new pho place so we drove 45mins to try because of the 4.6 stars and the positive reviews. However, we were very disappointed.
The staff were nice enough but the lady running tables and taking orders was slightly rude and judgemental when we ordered our own order of spring rolls (1 for my partner 1 for me). We also ordered fried pot stickers which were pretty tasty. I ordered the sesame chicken, my partner ordered the pho thai.
The wait for food wasn't bad. Springs rolls lacked flavor and herbs. The peanut sauce also lacked and tasted slightly sour and had way too much peanut butter in it. The pho my partner had was decent. Not greasy but lacked aromatics that you typically get and the noodles were over cooked. The sesame chicken initially looked ok, but after a few bites I noticed the sauce was really gooey. It was a turn off. The sesame seeds tasted a little burnt and there was too much breading and sauce on the chicken, which made the chicken soggy. The rice was under cooked, I bit into a few hard grains. Overall, the dish lacked flavor.
Customer service was ok and wait time was ok. Maybe it was a bad night. But compared to pho veit 26, I pho2, and pho valley, simplee pho...
