FireHouse TapRoom — Restaurant in Archdale

A group of us visited last Saturday 1/28/23 and were impressed by the look of the place, even before stepping foot inside. It is beautiful as others described and very spacious especially with the outdoor seating. The attention to detail shows promise of great things to come at Firehouse TapRoom. While on the subject ot taprooms, a big disappointment was the lack of taps. There wasn't one to be found and all the beer we saw was in a bottle or can. Several of us were looking forward to trying some local offerings served up in a flight. While on the subject of taps, another letdown and also concern was the band playing that night. I would think having a cover charge would bring in better musicians or at least ones that are more professional. The sound was nothing short of muddy and they seemed to not be sure of what they were even playing. It probably didn't matter to the dozen or so fans and/or bandwives gathered in front, but it didn't add any value to the venue. In fact, there seemed to be some drama amongst them that was fueled by one too many adult libations. At one point it appeared it was going to break out into a fistfight or two. I didn't see anyone from management step in to intervene. Maybe they had a bad night or were a replacement for a last minute cancellation. For us, it was a not so pleasant end to an otherwise decent night.

I will visit in the future when a different band is there and hopefully partake in a beer or two...

Came in for a couple drinks with my wife Saturday night for the first time and a fight broke out with some outlaw bikers that looked like they were in their 40’s or 50’s and literally some kids that looked like maybe 21-23 years old. the outlaws were wearing t-shirts letting everyone know who they were. This is the first time I’ve ever been to this bar and I was shocked that colors were even allowed. On top of that when the fight broke out the paid off duty cops did absolutely nothing. What’s the point in having cops in a establishment if they are not going to break up fights?? On top of that the outlaws were allowed to stay after attacking one group of kids and those kids were kicked out then They started attacking other younger men. This should have never gotten to this point. I was excited to come for the first time but I will never be back! Glad I was paying cash so I didn’t have to wait around on my card because they shut the whole place down at 1 because of this fight that could have been prevented. I had a drink and went to cash out and they couldn't find my card. My friend also had an issue when she went to pay and so did the person she was with. I checked my statement and was double charged and disputed the transaction. The owner presented 2 receipts with what I paid and tipped. They charged me 15.00 a shot and said I gave over a 20% tip on one drink and the other drink they said I gave close to 20% tip. There is no way I would ever ever give that much tip on one drink! Before I disputed the 2nd transaction ( not even noticing what I was charged for tip) I called them to tell them I was double charged. They said they would look Into it and never called me back. That's when I went and called my bank. About a month later I started seeing charges on my debit card for a business I did not sign up for and ended up getting charged 4 times.
