Why 2 stars? Why not 1 star? Indeed, it should be 1 star. We're travelling and it happens to be our 41st anniversary. So to have a small celebration during this hectic travelling time, we stopped for the night in Ardmore and got a nice hotel room. Chili's was close so we walked over. We get seated. Some other people get seated. The other people get waited on. The other people get drinks. The other people get food. Then someone took our drink order. A long time later, someone else took our drink order. A long time later we got our drinks. Two draft beers. 40 minutes to pour two draft beers. Then we ordered our food. The other people left. A long time later, they brought my wife's food. I told my wife to go ahead an eat, I would catch up to her. They finally came around and asked if we needed anything. My wife asked for silverware and napkins, which would have been nice at the beginning of her meal. The waitress brought one set. A long time later I was asked if I needed anything and sorry your food's taking so long. I said, I TOO could use silverware. Much later the manager comes and apologizes and says our food but not our beer would be free. OK, that's why you get one extra star. But you should know that: 1. I ordered the buffalo chicken sandwich and you brought me something not remotely like that. 2. It had onions on it and I specifically ordered something without onions because I'm allergic to them.
Yes, I know it's hard to find help just now. What that should mean is that you don't make promises you can't keep. Instead, it's a lousy excuse for not doing anything right. Not even one thing right in a row. And for some reason the bacon on whatever sandwich you made me was raw.
Maybe all Oklahomans are dumb as rocks, or maybe it's just Chili's staff, because no one else...
Read moreI've eaten here a few times. Each one worse than before. I always try to give someone the benefit of the doubt, but after last night...I just don't know. I placed an order on the app. Selected for curbside delivery, and made my trip to the location. I have mobility issues, so getting in and out of the car can be a challenge. I walk with an assistive device. Upon arriving, I checked in on the app and waited. I was early. No worries. Usually someone will come out and check on you, nonetheless. Not here. After I had waited about 15 minutes past my original estimated pick-up time. There indeed is a throng of activity, so I do get out and go inside. I stood and waited a good 10 minutes before my presence was noticed. I definitely wasn't the only person who had been waiting a minute. Upon being noticed, they tell me it'll be a few more minutes to which I state that I had checked in on the app, I need to sit, and was going to return to my car. I was told "no problem". 15 more minutes go by. Nothing. I call the store. The gentleman who answers the phone, says he's bagging it up and will be right out. Nothing. 6 more minutes go by, and I get out of the car, with my cane, again. I go in and stand 3-4 more minutes when the guy who answered the phone comes out and says he got sidetracked. No...really? Really the whole vibe behind the counter was a mix of overwhelmed and underwhelmed. Someone's give a damn, done gave out. All that being said, we haven't gotten to the quality of the food. First of all, my food was cold!! After waiting all that time, it was cold!! I probably order the Bacon Ranch Quesadillas every other time I go to Chili's. These were an abomination. The chicken was thick hunks. Read moreI have eaten here twice before in the past year and this visit will be my last. We were seated pretty quickly and the hostess told us if we wanted an actual menu to let our server know. When our server came to our table and got our drink order I asked for a regular menu. She brought us our drinks and handed us the menu and asked if we were ready to order? We said no, we hadn't even had time to open the menu yet. We placed our order a few minutes later. I went to the restroom after ordering and it was not very clean. The whole restaurant just seemed unkept. The wait staff was dressed very casually and just didn't look professional at all. More like they just got off their couch. We waited for 45 minutes for our food. During that time our server came to our table bringing my son another drink, she never asked about refilling mine or my husband's. When she brought my son's his drink , she asked us if we wanted to see her get in a fight with the manager!!! She said he was talking down to her and yelling at her and she was ready to punch him out!! We were shocked. We told her to complain to someone higher up in management. After she left our table we then heard this manager and a customer getting in an argument at the door. We weren't really sure what that was about. Then the waitress started announcing that they didn't have enough cooks and they were closing the dining room and they weren't taking any more customers. More than one person was turned away and weren't very happy about it but I think they actually got off lucky.
