6 of us dined tonight. Busy Friday night. But we got steaks and ribs so we spent a nice chunk. The food was excellent but our very young waiter needs more training. We got our food and he ran off before we realized there was no BBQ sauce on the tables. So after waiting forever we had to hunt him down. He brought a serving tray with about 10 cups of sauce and my sons ranch and lemons for tea. We were sure which were spicy. So we passed around and did the finger dip taste test. Our waiter came back by and picked up the tray which still had several little cups of BBQ. We didn't know what he was doing but he took the already used tray of sauce and gave it to the table behind us. We had to find him again for drinks. We were by the fountain so we watched him make them. Bur he never brought them over. I had to get up again and ask for our drinks. He proceeds to put my sons cup up to his nose to smell if it was rootbeer. I know he was a kid but these are unacceptable sanitary procedures. Our family is clean but I'm sure the people behind us didn't want sauce we had put our fingers in and licked. It happened so fast we couldn't warn the guest without having to get up infront of several tables. Other customers were scolding his service. He did apologize for his bad service. I left him a nice tip that he didn't deserve for sure, because I hope he was just having a bad day. But all staff need to know with germs and diseases, that you can't share foods between customers. We aren't talking a bottle of ketchup orBBQ. It was individual serving cups. Because had my table gotten the (seconds) BBQ sauce, I wouldn't have left without refunding me my $143.00 that we paid to eat there...
Read moreI originally ordered from door dash. My order was cold as it was not Swadleys fault. I called door dash to get my order fixed and I was told to call the manager on duty at Swadleys. I spoke with the manager Craig as he told me it was not their position to fix the order I had cold food, missing items and mold in my strawberry cake, and I need to talk to door dash and how he is going to talk to the owner about the issues that seem to be continuing to conflict with their business and the customers I do see his point but I am just a customer who ordered, had a late night of work and just wanted something easy-and simple. I paid nearly $30 for my order as it is just myself and explained to him of the issue and he said this one time will fix it for me but in the future not to use door dash and stop using the services. I drove across town 8:30 pmish went through the drive through and handed me my food. He personally talked to me and turned around and said they ran out of cake as that wasn’t an issue and gave me cobbler instead but it wasn’t ready and I had to wait in the to go parking. I was waiting 5 min as I live 8 minutes away my food was cold again no different from the first issue. With the service I got and cold food paid door dash, then having to pick it up l, then wait over cobbler not being ready, wasting gas, tired as I just got off work, and getting talked to as of door dash was my fault. I don’t think I will go there again, this was an...
Read moreHas been awhile since we ordered from here... Brisket was pretty good. I ordered lean sliced, and there was very little fat on it but it was still moist and flavorful. According to my daughter, the chopped brisket was good. All I tasted in the pulled pork was salt, and LOTS of it - even the sweet BBQ sauce didn't help. It was also pretty dry. Sweet beans were decent, mac & cheese was "just okay," jalapeno corn was good but nothing special, and the spicy beans were spicy but basically mush. I would like to say the peach cobbler was good but I wouldn't know. They didn't make it to our house, and of course, since it was doordash, the really polite and apologetic manager said the restaurant won't refund the money (which I understand, since I am sure they have tons of people trying to scam them out of free food, and it's also possible the doordasher helped himself - he did take a suspiciously long time to get here and I watched him take a very circuitous route as well). They did offer to give me 2 cobblers if I drove over there to get them. (If I wanted to get out, I would have done that in the first place). So they "put me on a list, and next time I come in they will give me 2 cobblers free." Oh well, we ate what we enjoyed. Threw the...
