Abbott's Frozen Custard - Arlington Center — Restaurant in Arlington

I'm a relatively new customer and Abbott's is my favorite stop for ice cream, well, custard, which is even better! Scoopable custard that can be served on a cone (yay). Not just soft serve, if they even sell soft serve.

Definitely a high quality product. I associate the fast melting as a sign of quality. But have no fear - it doesn't melt that quickly!

Friendly, informed employees. Good-sized servings at a reasonable price.

It's nice there is plenty of seating available outside - not sure if the chairs and tables belong to Abbott's or to neighboring restaurants but there are general places (metal benches I think) outside to sit as well and enjoy your custard!

Perfect after watching the sunset at Spy Pond, just a short walk up Mass Ave. towards Arlington Center.

I was disappointed one evening, however, that Google results didn't show thay Abbott's was closed (weather), during what ended up to be a locally next to nothing Hurricane Henri. The atmosphere and custard here was better than I excepted on all counts! The custard itself was creamy and there were many creative flavors to choose from, meanwhile there were many options other than custards that I personally did not try but looked delicious. In addition the atmosphere of Abbots was cozy and friendly with a wall that houses photos of past guests, it is a very fun experience to put you photo on the wall! One small complaint is that the store isn’t big enough for a large party so if you’re going with a lot of people I would recommend spacing your party out. Abbott's has great frozen custard but even better customer service. My boyfriend is from Rochester and really missed his hometown Abbott's, especially the chocolate almond that is a staple flavor there. Unfortunately, chocolate almond isn't super popular in New England so they don't make it every day and the stars never aligned with the timing of our visits. Upon mentioning this, the general manager took it upon himself to prepare two cups of chocolate almond for us on the spot. It was a special treat that was not only delicious but heartwarming for a homesick Abbott's fan. Thank you for going the extra mile to make our day. Best...
