EDIT: updating my review out of thanks for such a kind and swift response from Bubble Nation. New rating reflects the countless positive experiences I have had here, I am sure this was a one-time mishap.
This is the first google review I am ever leaving and it’s because I’m so disappointed with the experience I just had. Bubble Nation has always had passable boba and I’ve been a customer for several years now, but this evening I ordered a mango passionfruit slush with passionfruit popping bubbles - the person making my drink refused to look up my loyalty account, claiming it was only possible online (I didn’t make a fuss, but I’ve had other employees look up my email before with no trouble), and then on the way home I kept fishing hairs out of my mouth as I drank it. I thought they were mine at first, because they were short, but they were black and dyed at the ends. Finally I looked at my drink and saw more hairs floating inside. I only have a blurry photo because I freaked out and threw it away. Incredibly frustrated, two stars because every experience before this has been fine, but this was...
Read moreI don't think I have ever loved a drink that I got from here. A few tips if it's your first time ordering from bubble nation:
Sugar: if you usually order less than regular sweetness for bubble tea, I recommend just trying their regular first. It's not very sweet.
Ice: the drinks are usually not that cold at first. You could ask for extra ice or if you just wait a few minutes and switch it around it will get cold.
Tea: I got the rose tea today and it just seems over brewed, like it's a little bit, but then the sugar covers it up in a not so pleasant way. Maybe it was just a fluke and maybe their other tees are better.
Jelly: the mango jelly is less sweet than most places. Adjust accordingly
I really want to love this place because it's the only one nearby but I've been here multiple times and I'm just not impressed...
Read moreOkay so I love the bubble tea here it's 5 stars for that. However, be warned! ORDER ONLINE. If you don't, you will have to shout your order across the room, as well as your credit card number and details. Yes they have a square machine but it's not anywhere close to the door so you can't just tap your card/phone. This is not a quick process obviously. And they will prioritize online orders over you. The other thing is - they wouldn't let me add milk to a regular tea (I ordered a rose tea, asked for milk in it, and they said I couldn't have that. Why not?). Like I guess you can reduce customization for online orders to make it easier, but I ordered in person. The 3 stars is mainly for the...
