It’s been three weeks since my last review, and nothing has changed at this Starbucks except my patience running out. I’ve been here multiple times with my 9-pound dog, and without fail, employees have seen him, greeted him, or simply carried on without issue. I’ve also seen plenty of other dogs inside this store with no problem.
But today, suddenly, I’m questioned about whether my dog is a service animal and told he needs to wait outside if not. This is exactly the type of nonsense that drives customers away — inconsistent, arbitrary enforcement that depends on whichever employee feels like making up the rules that day.
There is no signage anywhere stating dogs aren’t allowed. The staff has acknowledged my dog (and others) countless times, but then on random occasions decide to flip the script and lecture customers. That’s not policy — that’s poor management.
To make matters worse, my last Gmail account was blocked from posting another review, so I actually had to make a new one just to call this place out again. That alone should tell you how far the frustration has gone.
Starbucks, if you want to enforce a rule, then enforce it consistently and professionally, and post it clearly so customers aren’t blindsided. Otherwise, all you’re doing is alienating loyal customers who are sick of the hypocrisy. I’m not here to “dine in,” I’m picking up a to-go order — and if that’s too much for this location to handle without contradicting itself every other visit, maybe it’s time I start taking my business (and money) elsewhere.
Maybe little stuff like this is part of the problem as to why Starbucks is...
Read moreI am one of Starbucks patron’s all across the DMV, and based on the business in the area stop by in different locations, this particular location is ( was ) one of my favorite, but, today, I came across deeply disturbing and concerning picture. The young boy walked into the store, at completely no busy time, asked about ice water. He looked dehydrated , tired and hyperemic - heat affected to me. The barista loudly dismissed this simple act of kindness request , stating that new policy not allows him to give a “free water” he has to be a customer…and the boy feeling humiliated about to …. Down the line that, that kid is someone’s son, may get heat related disorder/disease, may collapse, may experience stroke or worse- may have underlaying condition, that, we could prevent. I hope the company understand that too, and , who knows, he and his family is daily customers of the Starbucks, we should’t exclude anyone who needs water in these heat waves/hot days and act of hospitality and overall image of the company. I hope the managers find my review as a constructive message…. I hope things will change for the better...
Read moreI’m not sure what it is about this particular Starbucks and it’s attachment to cream cheese but EVERY time I do a mobile order and PAY for my cream cheese with my bagels I never ever get it! Then when I ask for it, bc this happens so frequently I now know to look in my bag before leaving, I get met with suspicion and/or attitude! Are you mad at me for proving you can’t read or more so upset that I’m looking for what I spent my money on?! I was just in there yesterday and a woman demands to see my order as proof, THEN after I show her the cream cheese has been paid for she longer makes eye contact and calls to her coworkers. No professionalism and certainly no apologies for implying I couldn’t possibly have paid for something I didn’t receive, that I don’t know Starbucks rules, or for the simple fact that had I not paid for any she could’ve just charged me. What’s the big deal?! This isn’t YOUR revenue sweetie but I am YOUR customer. Learn a thing or two or to a rival bakery I go! Trust, Georgetown would...
