People that are complaining here literally came on the Grand Opening days where it was super packed all day long. They’re here expecting fast service on probably the BUSIEST time this location will ever have.
I came on the day after grand opening weekend and the drive through was long but walk in was short. The interior is colorful, modernized, and small. They have a large menu where you can decide what to order. Food items are pricey for fast food. What’s unique about this location compared to other fried chicken places is that Jollibee is originally from the Philippines, they offer brown gravy (instead of white gravy), they have a pineapple juice drink called a pineapple Quencher, a fried peach mango pie, spaghetti, a hamburger (instead of serving only chicken), and they sell a seasonal fried ube pie.
Our entire order, wait, and pick up took about 20 minutes. We checked our bag to make sure that we had everything that we ordered and it was all there. Service was friendly, nice. Restaurant was clean (there was someone wiping the tables as people left), restroom was clean (they have automatic toilets and a hand dryer, no paper towels), and drive through was organized into 2 lanes with someone out in the heat speaking to customers.
We ordered the 6 piece chicken bucket (regular, they ran out of spicy), it comes with a side of large gravy and for our two sides we got fries and 2 buscuits. We also ordered a peach mango pie and a pineapple quencher drink. All to go.
The quencher is amazing. Tastes like freshly squeezed pineapple. It’s very refreshing. If you’re used to pineapple juice from a can, this drink will surpass your standards.
The chicken bucket had drumsticks, thighs, and chicken breast. The chicken was juicy (not from the grease, seems like the juice is coming from the meat) and the batter has great flavor to it and it’s nice and crispy/crunchy. It doesn’t taste like your regular Church’s chicken with the bland batter, this batter has a bit of seasoning to it. You can just imagine if this was a regular, what the spicy chicken would taste like. I had a thigh that was a little dry on the inside but the other pieces were good.
The fries, at first it looks and tastes like knock off McDonald’s fries but I kept on eating it. It wasn’t too greasy (compared to McDonald’s or Whataburger) and wasn’t too salty either, which I liked. I grew to like it the more I ate without really noticing.
The biscuits weren’t anything special. Not too much honey glaze on top. A little more on the dry side but still moist. Good, not BAD, but also not the best thing ever.
The gravy was delicious. It’s brown gravy so it has more savory flavoring. I’m not sure how to exactly describe it but it was good. Smooth, a little thin, not too salty, even…
The peach mango pie is fried, just like your typical pie from McDonald’s or Whataburger. Came warm. It was good. I liked it. I couldn’t differentiate the peach or mango flavors, just tasted fruity to me.
The 6 piece bucket w the 2 sides was $19.99. The pineapple quencher was $3.49 and the peach mango pie was $2.99. Overall paid $29.14.
Overall I had a good experience and will probably come back and try...
Read moreI just had the displeasure of trying to pick up an order at this location. I received a text that my order was ready and waiting in the designated pickup area. When it got there no order was present. So, then tried to ask at the counter if my food was still coming out, or if it had perhaps been stolen from the designated pickup area. Each employee behind the counter, and there were nine visible (one a shift manager), made eye contact with me and then looked away. All I can assume is that none of these employees were assigned to work the counter. It appeared that no one was assigned to work the counter for this shift and customers were building up to the door. There was another group that we're waiting on their chicken, and they had ordered more than 20 minutes before. Because I did not know if my food was coming or if it had been stolen, and because every employee that I made eye contact with refused to approach the counter (because they knew that they have lied about my order being ready to manipulate their numbers with corporate), I asked for a manager. By yelling. I had to ask(yell out) for a manager seven times. Seven times, with reasonable amounts of wait time between each. I yelled 'I need a manager' in front of the floor manager who pretended to not hear me, then hid. It was only after I threatened to call corporate that the actual manager came out and heard my complaint about the false readiness times and her employees ignoring customers. If this location is understaffed, then perhaps the manager should come out of her office and come work the counter. Or at least come out when her employees tell her that there's a customer who wants to speak to her. Instead of hiding and directing her employees to mark orders ready that won't be even started for another ten minutes to look more efficient to corporate. Overall this location seemed understaffed (that's what the manager said anyway, there were tons of employees) but really very poorly managed. I have not had a chance to taste the food. It was for sure not worth the being treated like I was invisible for 15 minutes.. Wait times are ok, but this was just rude and...
Read moreFirst time at this location and I’m very disappointed. So much so I’m still in their parking lot writing this. I’m half Filipino, so I’ve been to other Jollibee’s. This service that I received in the drive-thru plus the poor quality of the meal doesn’t even compare to the great service I’ve received at other locations I’ve been to. I ordered the 2-pc Burger Steak meal that includes one side. I always order the adobo rice. The meal was already $11.99 and they failed to tell me that the rice would be $1.50 more. I saw the price on the receipt. The amount is not specifically the issue, but what I received as a meal did not justify the $13.50 price of the meal. The gravy was cold and the mushrooms in the gravy were colder, but the meat was warm?! The burger steaks were the size for a very small child.
Then when I parked in their parking lot 30 seconds after leaving the drive-thru, the gravy for the steaks had already leaked in the bag and into my ube pie (Provided pictures) from how she handed me the bag. Also, I’ve made adobo rice at home and the cost to make it is literally half the price of french fries. So to upcharge a cheap version of a very popular Filipino side dish is absolutely wrong. Service wise, I should have been told about the upcharge before I paid. I also ordered two biscuits. I asked if they had sides of butter. She didn’t know how to answer the question and eventually told me no they didn’t but the biscuits had butter already on them. They were so dry! No butter at all.
I live 30 minutes from this location and would be willing to drive the extra 15 minutes to the Plano location because I’ve never had issues with their service or the quality of their food. The person who took my order was a male and the person who handed me my food was a female. I wanted to make that clear, the service issues were not the fault of just one person.
I added multiple pictures of the mess I spent five minutes cleaning up before I could even eat my food. The cup of rice appears larger in the picture than what it really was. Again, so...
