Potbelly — Restaurant in Arlington

This review is based on 2 visits over a month span. About a month ago, I took my kids there and after taking about 15 minutes to get our order strait, and made, the kid working the counter told us we had to eat outside while it was cold, because they just cleaned the dining room. I told them it was 30 mins before closing and he went to talk to his manager and came back and again said we would have to eat outside. We told him to forget about our food and left. I vowed never to come back, but did again last night, craving their turkey avocado sandwich. I was approached vigorously for not wearing a mask, and after returning with one, the kid at counter kept making sandwiches without acknowledging me for about 5 minutes. I stood patiently, and waited for him, until he finally asked me what I wanted without looking at me. I could write a paragraph on this guy, but long story short, I couldn’t understand him because he was mumbling through his mask, and he apparently could not understand me, because my order was completely messed up. There was no ice in machine, and tea was put away. I told them ice machine was empty and I wanted more ice along with some tea. They got me tea without adding ice, and when I came back for second round, the ice machine was still empty, and still no tea, and kid was leaned over serving counter looking at me without saying a word. Being from out of state, my sister and I wanted to try some eataries we wouldn't find back home so we decided to pop in to this place. The restaurant is clean and welcoming, keeping it's occupants cool from the outside elements. The restroom (womens) was clean and user friendly with a pleasant aroma. The customer service here is great, everyone was courteous, friendly and helpful. The manager of The establishment checked on us during our meal to make sure everything was ok & let us know if we needed anything to just ask. The food here is pretty amazing! I ordered the chicken salad sub on multi-grain bread with tomatoes, pickles and lettuce. The chicken salad is well prepared. It's not overpowered with mayonnaise or onions, thank God!! [I hate chicken salad with onions in it.] I also ordered the coffee smoothie made with frozen yogurt and it was delicious! The coffee flavor wasn't overbearing at all, it was, well, smooth. My sister ordered the new item, Turkey Fresco original on multi -grain bread. It comes with fresh spinach, basil mayonnaise & roasted red peppers. She's stated 3 times during the meal, "this sandwich is hecka good!!" (Hecka in this instance, where we're from, means really really). I highly recommend this spot and when we come back we will...

I have emailed customer service and have not received a response

I placed an online order on August 23rd. As I was leaving to get my order I was told our manager was ordering pizza for the staff. I immediately walk to the store (about a 2 minute walk because I work in the Highlands) and ask that my order be cancelled. The manager asked his staff to pull my ticket. It didn’t appear that they had even started working on it. He said I should get a refund in 5 business days. I “didn’t want to be that person” so I waited a full three weeks and still no refund. I called the store, they took my information, and stated they would call back. Nothing. I walk into the store to directly speak to the manager. He takes my information and states the GM will give me a call tomorrow. Nothing happens. It’s only $17.51. Do you think I’m really trying to scam you? If you can’t refund my money at least put that balance on a gift card. If I had known I wasn’t going to get my money back I wouldn’t have cancelled my order.
