I really wanted to like this place but it was a big disappointment ☹️ my husband and I went on a Monday evening for dinner and we were so excited! We were helped by what looked like a high school kid that had no idea what he was doing. The portions were so skimpy too. I had to ask a few times for extra cilantro and onions because they barely put any in my burrito. Here’s what we ordered: Large steak burrito- I would give it 1/5. There was barely any steak which really sucked. All I could taste were the beans and rice. Birria Tacos- I would give it 0/5. They were SOO oily and the birria sauce was so bland. I’ve definitely had better birria tacos in Cambridge, Medford and East Boston. Lengua Burrito Bowl- my husband ordered a lengua burrito bowl and the kid helping us out gave him steak…. He didn’t feel like asking again as he was starving so he just ate the steak bowl. Again, very little steak was served. Lengua and Fish Tacos- my husband had these and said they were ok. He asked me if I wanted to try them but I passed given that everything we had tried before wasn’t that great. Marañon Juice- this was the only good thing we had. Overall, I would never come here again. The flavor and value isn’t there for me to want to spend money here. I’m from El Salvador and grew up with authentic Latin food so I just wouldn’t want to spend money on food that doesn’t taste great.

This new place is a must try. Everything is authentic and flavorful. The owner is friendly and has wonderful staff. The pupusas will never taste like my mom's but they are delicious. I recommend the zucchini and loroco options for those that are vegetarian. Also the fried plantain and fried yuca with pico de gallo. My kids had steak quesadillas and they loved them! They have some specialty plates with rice and beans too. For those that eat meat, I can't say enough. Everything from flavorful steak, chicken, beef tongue and chicharrón 😋 Their desserts are all delicious (see picture) yes we got all 4 of them for experimental purposes of course. No regrets! Flan was my top choice followed by the tiramisu but seriously all 4 were great. Free 2 hour street parking. They just opened so they stay busy! Makes sense because this type of flavor hasn't hit Arlington until now. Thank me later, go pay them a visit.

Thank you Jesus! Just what the area needed! I forgot to ask what country the owners are from but the food feels more like Salvadoran rather than Mexican but in a good way. It's nice to get something a bit different compared to other local taquerias so I recommend checking them out. Wife and I were able to sample a large portion of their menu but they didn't have carnitas or pork as they're still in the early stages of opening. Must tries would be the Revuelta Pupusas, Chicharron, fish tacos and the beef tongue. We also tried chicken and steak tostadas, ceviche, birria, Horchata and Maranon drinks. The Maranon is the sleeper hit and I liked it much better than the Horchata. Very nice service, meats are cooked fresh instead of a steam table and their hot sauce is homemade. My only regret was that I couldn't eat more and need to come back instead.

Quilo's Taqueria is a culinary haven that transports you to Mexico from the moment you step in. The ambiance is inviting, with neatly set tables inside and a picturesque outdoor area with lush green turf and stylish seating.

The food? Absolutely delightful. Picture tender steak tacos, perfectly grilled and topped with fresh ingredients, and steak burritos bursting with flavor. Their breakfast burrito is a hearty start to the day, while the chicken torta is a symphony of textures and tastes. And let's not forget the Birria tacos – they're a must-try, with their rich, flavorful filling and perfectly crisp tortillas.

But the real stars? The pupusas – irresistibly cheesy and perfectly griddled. And don't miss the refreshing smoothies, the perfect accompaniment to the savory dishes.

Overall, Quilo's Taqueria offers an unforgettable dining experience that's sure to leave you craving more. Trust me, you won't be...
