Zalat Pizza — Restaurant in Arlington

I have gotten delivery here at least 3 times, and the first two times, though the pizza tasted well enough, got me sick afterwards and I had little faith in this place after those two experiences.

But today, I can say that they have somewhat redeemed themselves since the pizza I got last night tasted pretty good and didn't give me diarrhea afterwards. They were lucky and I got lucky because I would have never ordered from this place again, if not for the fact that the place I usually order from was too swamped with orders last night. This go around was they gave me like 8 packets of red crushed pepper and none at all of parmesan cheese and I cannot figure out why they didn't even give me just one parmesan packet when they gave me 8 red crushed pepper packets, it was very odd.

On an added note, I think that this place consistently doesn't give that much sauce on their pizzas so I think for my future orders I will ask for extra sauce on the pizza.

I also really do like the amount of gluten free options...

We ordered the 12” Margherita and the 12” NYC Pepperoni. We did not enjoy either of them. Both Pizzas were missing toppings. The Margherita didn’t have basil or the balsamic dressing. The NYC Pepperoni was missing extra oregano and was not even close to “greasy” or any thicker than their other pepperoni. They were actually quite dry and room temperature. I won’t blame Zalat for the temperature because we had it delivered but be forewarned.

I called to provide feedback and the answering prompts redirect you to their website when you order from the app. I still chose to speak with a person because the website is just a simple feedback form with no receipt or order detail fields, so did not expect them to even respond. When I got ahold of someone at the store, I did not have confidence he was going to take my concern seriously. You've ruined pizza for me forever, and I couldn't be happier about it... lemme explain. I'm from out of town, from Atlanta GA, to be specific and some of the pies there are really good. Great even. GA is the proud home of some of the best of the bests. We've got world class pies down there, but NOTHING... And I do mean not a single pie in the whole state compares. So I'm gonna eat the rest of this pizza and get on a plane and go back and only have the memory of the best pizza that I've ever tasted and it will haunt me forever.
