Had been going to the Applebeeās for a while. The food was good and the service was good. Went in one day and all of a sudden this had changed. They wouldnāt let us sit where we asked to be seated. We asked the server over and over that we wanted a seat by the window, there were all kinds of open seats in the area that we wanted to be seated so we said fine wherever you want as long as itās by a window so what does she do. She sat us at a wall. Iām looking at someone Iāve seen in there just about every time I was in there and I assume she is in management watching all this go on and never bothered to intervene . The girl was rude. She wouldnāt even listen to us. She just turned her back on us and walked away when weāre asking for another table . When we realized this person could care less what we were saying, we walked out. Itās a shame because for a while the service was good and the food was good. You must be making all kinds of money to treat your customers with such disrespect . I sent two emails to the Applebee corporation telling them of the situation that happened . the website said I would be receiving a reply within two days. Well itās been over two months now but you donāt need to contact me now , I know you donāt care. Jim Clark. Very disappointed customer you really need to do better..
Update Took about a month for them to finally contact me and they only did that after the Google review . they turned the complaint over to the manager who watched the whole situation take place and didnāt care then and didnāt care this time. Turns out the manager had been rude to us in the past, and when I called her out for it, she really had nothing to say once again they did nothing but waste my time why did you even bother to contact me? You had no plans on doing anything .Why would you turn the complaint over to the person being complained about? Seems like thatās not a good way to run a business like I said before you really need to do better. A good crew starts with its leader. This should tell you you need a new leader.

I guess that was just for looks so other people would think that youāre trying to take care of the complaint. Not the greatest business practice. We let my 5 year old choose where we were having dinner as a reward for graduating kindergarten. He picked Applebee's. Okay, not my favorite, but they're typically alright, let's do it!
We come in, place is mostly empty, but we get sat next to the only screaming baby in the whole restaurant. The parents of said baby were loudly arguing about their food order being wrong while an elderly couple across from them (again, place is almost empty) is asking the poor waitress for boxes, water, etc. Why would you sit us here?
My wife and I each order a mixed drink, juice for the kid. We get our drinks, my son never got his. Our drinks are so watered down I am convinced there was no alcohol in them.
We then sat there for 40 minutes with no sign of the waitress. Son never gets his juice. We finished our colorful mixers san alcohol. Just as I'm standing up to leave, the waitress comes back, apologizes and asks if she can take our order. I decline and say we really don't want to wait anymore. I pay the tab (20 bucks for mixing syrup and a bowl of ice), explain to the manager why we're leaving. No offer to comp the drinks is ever made (I'm not going to ask) No offer of coupons or to make it right in some way. Just a half hearted, hurried apology so she can get us out the door and seat the next unfortunates.
I'm already coming to the Arnold Applebee's, my expectations are already pretty low, but this is nuts. Bad drinks, no service, seated in an unpleasant atmosphere and they made my kid cry on top of it all (we made it up to him).
Save your money. Hit Smokey Mo's or Miyabis or hell, just chic fil a across the street....

Iām having a dinner with my husband and we were having a great evening and wanted to end it with good food and customer service. Chasity never wrote down anything when we ordered food, she never smiled, never asked how our food was, never asked if we needed anything with it, never asked if we needed boxes or sauces, nothing. She silently brought our food and would quickly rush away every time. The one time she made an attempt to check on us, it was a āroll byā where she mumbled asking āyou guys still good?ā And by the time I looked over, her back is facing me with her head facing my way, directly staring at me with her head low, no smile - very obviously not caring and making us uncomfortable with every slight encounter. I felt rude asking her for a box as it was very evident that it was out of her way. But the weird part was the end when she brought our check and popped up saying ātop one is mine. Bottom is yours. Iāll be right back to grab it cuz as soon as you sign it, I get to go homeā and then smiles and giggles for the very first time all night with us and then quickly walks away. We felt rushed. We felt uncomfortable. We felt like we were a burden to eat there⦠we heard everyone else getting great customer service with smiling and happy waitresses but ours was miserable. We assumed her bf dumped her or something with how angry she was all night. Maybe put her in the back as a cook so she doesnāt have to see people since she hates people? Just...
