To the employees that were working lunch today 8/10/21 at 11:05 am. I arrived today to pick up a GrubHub order. The order contained Wok Seared Beef and Shrimp and a fountain drink along with a couple of other items. As soon as I told the person behind the counter the name on my order I started getting the normal spiel about not having food....Could I call the customer.......Could I cancel the order and have another driver come pick up the food. There is ROUTINELY something wrong with the orders at this location.
If you are having issues with your menu, you need to contact GrubHub Restaurant Care and let them know so that they can get the menu corrected on their end. Although I also went to the Lindbergh location posters are up at both locations for the Wok Beef and Shrimp.....sooo.....
It is not OK to ask the driver to contact the customer to resolve order issues. This needs to be resolved between the restaurant and GrubHub or Restaurant and the Customer. We are not employees of these delivery companies. Waiting for the driver to arrive before trying to resolve an issue wastes time and only further complicates the issue.
Asking a driver to cancel an order is just ridiculous. I don't think your manager would appreciate if I said to you.....'Well, you should just walk out and go home.' GrubHub is now deactivating drivers for doing this. No, I will not be canceling an order.
I was TOLD to fill the customer's drink (which, by the way, the ice machine was broken). You may want to reach out to GrubHub restaurant care and review with them their policy regarding having drivers fill drinks. GrubHub drivers are not responsible for the preparation or packaging of any part of a customer's order. That includes food, drinks, condiments, plastic ware and straws, or napkins. If your staff wants to ask us to fill the drinks, that's one thing. Drivers ALWAYS have the option of saying no.
I have included the receipt that was attached to the customer's bag. Writing a hand written note that you had no way of contacting the customer even though the customer's phone number was on the same receipt. You worked so hard trying to get out of work. My time, as well as several of your coworkers was wasted. All of this could have been avoided had the customer been contacted before I ever arrived. The full and correct order along with the drink could have been ready...
Read moreFood quality is less than mediocre. In fact, I would not feed this garbage to a homeless person. They don't even wear gloves when handing the food (gross). Got 5 minutes down the road with what should have been hot food but it was barely luke warm. I bit into my orange chicken and it was so dry you couldn't even chew it. The teriyaki chicken really isn't teriyaki chicken if I have to put my own teriyaki sauce on it. Then when I called to speak with the manager (Walter) he was rude and would not let me get a word in edge wise about my dissatisfaction until I told him to be quiet and actually listen rather than being an arrogant fool. Once he listened to what I had to say, his response was "so you think you have food poisoning". Buddy that is not what I said, you said that. I asked for a refund and he told me I had to come to the store. I came to the store after work and met with Walter who once again wanted to play the "food poisoning" card. Those words never came from my mouth and I told him once again that I was not claiming that. I was not a doctor and only a doctor can diagnose that but since you're ready to clam that, is there something the patrons that have eaten here should know about? It definitely makes a person wonder. I can say without a doubt I will NEVER eat at another Panda...
Read more04/21/2017 - Gave it another try. New manager, Dasia, very friendly and courteous. Very guest-centric. Unfortunately, at 8:00 at night, they ran out of Kung Pao Chicken, and we're in such a hurry to make it, the chicken was raw. Not undercooked, raw. But, Dasia made it right. She replaced my entire meal, and gave me a partial refund. They're working to make it better. It's not perfect, but the attitude is much improved.
Quality was fine. The service and attitude really stinks!
New Visit, 2/19/17, 0☆: Food had good flavor, but was cold. When I complained about it, the worker retrieved a food thermometer. Instead of taking the temp of the food on my plate (the food in question), she took the temp of the steel bowls under the heart lamps... And, by taking "the temp of the steel bowls," I mean: She literally used the serving spoon to mix all the food, then literally held the metal probe to the bottom of the bowl (I heard her scrape the bowl with the probe, until she came to a rest. Never once did she actually insert the probe into any food. She then proclaimed that the temps were over 165°. She replaced my food, but of course, it was still cold... But, who am I to argue with an expert in Asian...
