My friends and I are in town for a convention and wanted to see what type of Mexican food was around the place we were staying at. Visiting from Houston we have been well accustomed to what fantastic Mexican food is (and even Tex-Mex), and after seeing a 4.5 out of 5 we chose to give it a try. We shown up for lunch on a Tuesday and the gentleman than was there seem to be all by himself, however being short handed at the start he was very friendly, welcoming, and fun. He wanted to make sure we were will taken care of even if we were busy. We sat inside with the large garage window doors open. Seats and atmosphere were very pleasant along with the chips and salsa. The margaritas were good, and I wish I could say the same for the food. I had the trio fajitas. How were they? Well, I wanted to not talk about flavor and just talk about prep and quality only. Taste is subjective and I feel to be fully honest and fair, I would just talk about what is controllable by anyone. The Trio fajitas comes with stake, chicken, and shrimp. It also come with the normal fixing too.. IE, rice, beans, etc. Okay, so the shrimp, pico, guacamole, and cheese were good. Everything else tasted frozen or worse… over cooked. The stale was a grizzly mess and not able to eatable. Chicken was overcooked and that of course made it dry. Everything for me tasted frozen and overcooked. I just could not even get to understand if the food flavor was good. If the service was for as good as it was, I would have asked for my money back. Hope this review helps,...
Read moreFood was great, employees were super nice, prices were bad (got a steak quesadilla and side of queso for lunch takeout for almost $30 after tax and tip)
Biggest gripe is the whole takeout ordering process. There is no way to see a regular menu other than the terrible quality photo of the menu on Google. If you click menu on their website, it just takes you to their third party takeout menu with no descriptions and incredibly inflated prices.
I just wanted to see what you sell, the prices and order it but it's literally impossible. It just has items like steak primavera quesadilla for $23 with no description.
Also it's so terrible and shady to have to order through your 3rd party online service with everything marked up 20%. If you go into the restaurant, queso is like $11. If you order through your online portal it's $13. Everything is $1-$6 more expensive to order online. Really dumb, especially on already really...
Read moreMy friend and I went to Wapos Cantina and really enjoyed it. We went here as a last minute change of plans because Tepcalli Cocina had a 30 minute wait (on a Thursday night!)
We were immediately seated and out waiter brought us menus and chips and salsa immediately. My friend and I were chatting a fair bit, so when the waiter checked in, we hadn't decided yet - and we didn't feel rushed :)
We both had the DF tacos and we're quite pleased! The delivery was quick and the presentation was good. The tacos were made like street tacos with soft tortillas lined up, slightly overlapping, with a good amount of meat and toppings. There were four tacos and o finished up feeling full but not stuffed :)
I will definitely go back when I am looking for some good food...
