I think because I worked here when they opened back in 2006, I have some different expectations of Zaxby’s in Asheboro. I understand staffing is short, I understand longer wait times due to cooking the chicken, and I even understand getting orders wrong occasionally. Because this place means so much to me, I make it a point to come every time I’m in Asheboro, which is only 1-2 times a year. Today’s experience was pretty horrible, I must say. I gave more than a 1 star because the food was still good. However, it took us 25 minutes to get our order after we placed it. My husband’s order was incorrect, and our sodas were all flat. If you haven’t called Coke yet and told them you need a new CO2 tank and a refill on basically every soda, please do so ASAP. The floors were so sticky, and the bathrooms were dirty and had no paper towels or toilet paper. Again, I don’t think my expectations are too high since I worked here, but this would have never flown when I worked there. In fact, I was told that I had to have all orders out within 2 minutes at the drive thru and my manager told me that if “I had time to lean, I had time to clean.”… If you’re the same owner that was there when I got hired, please come visit and work your magic because I’m afraid this location won’t be open much longer if you don’t. We will give you another shot next Summer. Please improve...
Read moreMy family ordered our food we sat there for 42 minutes waiting they hadn't even cooked my chicken strips and my family's food was sitting on the counter getting cold. Said I wanted our money back and the manager copped an attitude and said I'm cooking them now. But it did not matter because my family's food was cold already then she come out and through the keys on the counter for the cashier and walked off and didn't even say a word to us the cashier couldn't figure out how to return our money and had to call corporate which took my name and number and said they would call me tomorrow! I guess we will wait and see. I will not be going back there. It would be different if they were busy but there was only two people in front of us and no one else in the building..... Received an email today from Zaxby's they said they'd like me to contact the store and speak with the general manager. Which is kind of funny since the general managers the one that was the rudest in the whole store and no anyone that's reading this the corporate office that was supposed to contact me never did stay away from Zaxby's because they really don't care about their customers or someone would have called me back and not sent me a generic thank you for replying about Zaxby's so we can...
Read moreNot a review: You all that say you “had” to wait the amount of time that you waited to order or to get your food—you didn't have to. It was your choice to wait. You could have easily left after 10 minutes, but you didnt. This place is slow due to the fact that they are short staffed. I know that is no excuse, really, for a place to be slow—but zaxbys is made to order, not fast food. I worked fast food and people order a good amount of food, in which the cooks run out of an item and have to start cooking up more—which takes a bit. Be courteous to the workers, as they are trying to earn money for college, a car, a phone, or just saving up. Don’t make their job harder than it already is just because you are impatient. If a worker is rude, it’s probably because they are having to deal with rude customers, which is no excuse to be rude—but how do you want someone who has to deal with rude strangers complaining for a mistake that any human could make? Most of the time it is adults. Don’t be that person. If you are going to complain about something, do it nicely and do not raise your voice. For the record, order correctly because, most of the time, your order might be incorrect in some way because of the way you ordered it, because some people order in a...
