I was super excited to go here because everyone raved about it, when we got there our host seemed really out of it, but I ignored it because maybe he was having a bad day. We sat outside and the environment was lovely, they had patio lights, and shaded areas ECT. We went to the counter to order drinks. After picking them up we sat down. The cream soda I ordered was very good, but it was a little bitter. Then I ordered the meat calzone and it was ok. It was room temp in the middle, but it was warm enough that my dad said it was safe to eat. At this place, you order at a counter and then get a number to display on your table so that your server can bring you your food. Our server completely disregarded us the whole time and didn't even come over to check on us. I had to flag him down very loudly to ask about the temperature of the food.

Skip ahead a few hours, I am feeling nauseous, and sweaty. I'm not running a fever, and I test negative for Covid, so I go to bed and keep waking up sweaty and nauseous. In the morning I get up to take a stomach pill l, hoping that will help and the minute I try to swallow the pill and choke on it a little bit it all comes back up. I vomit for about 5 minutes straight, and instantly feel better. Both my parents and I both agree that this was food poisoning. Something in my calzone wasn't cooked all the way. I almost bailed out on my white water rafting trip thinking I would get sick on the raft. Long story short, I will NEVER go back to this place again.🤮😭🤢

FYI I ate at this place on...

If zero stars were an option, I would have chosen that.

Rudest staff and owner I have ever encountered!!! Apparently questioning unprompted rudeness and disrespect is grounds for 6 adults and 8 kids to be kicked out and threatened to have the police called on them. I'm so confused how a situation with such a simple resolution escalated so quickly and was handled so poorly by a "business owner." I use this term loosely, as this was the most unprofessional person I've ever seen.

The owner replied to a review left by another in our party, conveniently painting a very different picture. Need we remind you that while you were assuring us we wouldn't have to interact any further with your exceptionally ill-mannered cashier, she walked through our group, intentionally bumping into one of our friends who was HOLDING A BABY and turns around, rudely yelling "EXCUSE ME" to HER! She then walked through a second time, mimicking and mocking us as we spoke with you. You didn't even acknowledge it or address her. You did not "sincerely apologize" for her ridiculous attitude and behavior. You said you didn't see it so didn't know what happened and suggested we started it. Even though she had displayed enough inappropriate behavior directly in front of you that as the owner, you should have been appalled by it and addressed her directly.

If you want what may possibly be somewhat decent food, sure I guess you could try here. If you like to be TREATED decently, you should DEFINITELY...

Some friends and I have been wanting to try this place since they’ve opened recently. So excited to have another pizza place downtown Asheville. #pizzaoneverycorner. Rude owner told me to leave his restaurant in front of the entire restaurant and my friend and our children because he hovered over our table to hear me say the slices are small for the price. We were in the corner, he went out of his way to eavesdrop. Then loudly said “you’ve been complaining since you walked in here, you don’t like it, you can stop eating that salad and get out and go to Standard”. FYI, I was was not complaining the entire time, I was having fun just having seen Hamlet with a bunch of teenagers. I was talking to teens from another school about the performance, we were admiring the canolis and desserts and how delicious they looked, wondering which one I would order after our meal and if I should order it now or stand in line again, etc. We were just surprised and confused by their topping pricing and I was the spokesperson of our group so I was getting clarification and made the suggestion that topping prices seemed high for a slice. I work in a high profile establishment downtown and I recommend restaurants to visitors of Asheville. I wanted to support this place and have another pizza joint to recommend but not now! Oh and he was bitching to other customers about us while we were still...

Let’s start with the good things… There was a very cute guys that welcomed us to enter the restaurant. He said it was going to be the best pizza we would ever have Bad things…he lied to us lol. Tbh it was the worst Asheville experience I’ve had so far. It was our first time in the restaurant and we decided to order a Hawaiian pizza and pasta Alfredo with chicken. The dough was good but the pineapple was a little fermented. Other than that it wasn’t really special. Just pizza. We ordered a Hawaiian pizza with a few extra toppings and the guy just decided to do a BYO without asking if that’s what we wanted. So it was more expensive at the end. I ordered a spaghetti Alfredo with “roasted chicken” and it didn’t have any salt or flavor whatsoever. The chicken felt like it was just boiled. When I asked the waitress about it she said…”well you can just add salt to it” I don’t usually eat things with lots of salt. But when I’m saying that this pasta was tasteless…it really was. I’m sorry this is like that. I really had good expectations. And I’m not even going to talk about the prices… For a restaurant to charge me more than $35 a plate…I would be expecting at least some kind of experience even if the food weren’t that great.

I’m a pizza snob and this is one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had!! This was our first time here and now I wish we lived near Asheville! We chatted with the owner for quite a bit and learned a lot about why it’s SO GOOD!!! He said they make their own sourdough crust out of organic flour and use all fresh and organic ingredients! They also hand stretch the mozzarella for the pizza! The desserts are also out of this world!! One of the cooks said “the boss lady” is a culinary dessert chef and there are different homemade desserts every day. Today they had brownies and brown butter chocolate chip cookies. We got one of each and then went back and got a second brownie for our drive to Tennessee tomorrow. I can’t recommend this place enough!! It is SO GOOD!!!

We visited Asheville for the first time and decided to try out the bar and pizza, we had a cheese slice and a pepperoni slice it was amazing, excellent crust and flavor was great. The star of the show was the bar in the back though! We definitely bar hopped and tried all of the espresso martinis around downtown and Kevin was our favorite bartender and made the BEST espresso martinis in town! He’s so friendly and made us feel like a part of the family. He was knowledgeable and didn’t just make drinks, he was happy to tell us what flavor profiles worked well together and made us some delicious drinks. When we visit again we will absolutely come back just to visit the bar (and eat the pizza too)!
