This review is going to be a little bit different. But very impacful. It was last Friday (Sep 27,2024). We were affected by Hurrican Helen. We were trying to travel from Cullowhee to Raleigh. But when we arrived Asheville, we could see the real devastating situation. There was flood, blocked roads, land slides, broken bridges, and so on. No power, no water, no fuel. So we couldn't move from Asheville, as our car ran out of fuel. But we didn’t have any place stay that night in Asheville Downtown. We were going to different hotels, but was not getting in rooms. When we entered Arras Vacaction hotel, they told us that since their hotel management software is not working and they are out of water, eventually they can not give us room reservations as well. But we are free to stay at their reception and lobby. We were surprised. At that time, that was a big relief for us. As we couldn’t get any food whole day, we were so hungry too. Surpisingly, they gave us free food like chips, chocolates, drinking water, granula bar etc. When we went to sleep in their lobby sofa, we asked and they gave us blankets as well. It was beyond our expectation. They’re so well behaved and helpful supporting people in bad times. We left next morning when we could manage some fuel. But we will be forever grateful to this hotel and never forget what...

Read moreThe Arras Kimpton in downtown Asheville is definitely one of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed in, and I have traveled all over the world. We had one of the apartments overlooking Pack Square and it was absolutely spotless. I am very particular about hotels and will not walk bearfoot in the rooms unless it is spotless. The moment I walked into the apartment I took my shoes off!! Everything from the valet, concierge, genius elevator systems, gorgeous views, fantastic communication throughout, made our stay absolutely perfect in every way, and we will be back!! And shout out to Bonnie who makes sure the rooms are spotless, she deserves a raise for how high her standards are, this is what sets this hotel apart from all others. I am now planning our...
