Wowsers. I don't have high expectations, but this has set a new low bar. Don't bother with the free chips and queso, it's basically lukewarm, vaguely-cheese-tasting milk. Meal presentation is laughable, portion sizes miniscule for the price, and their chips taste like they just fried up the microwavable containers their food came in. Not to mention the forgotten drink. Originally gave 2 stars, but due to what I found today (mentioned below), I think 1 is more appropriate now.

Edit/reply: It was through a third party courier, but actually nearly everything I described sounds like not even remotely their fault. They were never given our drink to begin with (which should be the restaurant's responsibility to check, not the courier), and I was able to get a refund for that, so that is why it was the least of my worries. Everything else - portion sizes, frighteningly stale chips, and queso resembling diluted paint - cannot be attributed to anyone but the one making the food. The presentation was so sloppy that I couldn't possibly blame it on bad driving or careless delivery.

Also, why in the WORLD would you, as your business, reply to a review.... for ANYONE to see, whith "That's what she said"??? (A different review, not mine.) And it wasn't even remotely funny! The guy just said it was tasty and cheap. Actually, that's super insulting, if you think about it. It's incredibly unprofessional, childish, and makes it clear that whoever replies to the reviews is either highly unintelligent or immature, and likely both. Honestly, I would've considered trying this restaurant again until I saw that, but there are plenty of far better Mexican restaurants in town with far better food and service that don't behave like bratty children on...

I visited this restaurant for my first time earlier this afternoon. The food was nothing spectacular. For the price, you get a sizeable amount. However, the overall quality and flavor leaves room for improvement. The service has left a stain on my impression of this establishment. I got the distinct impression there isn't an ounce of human decency amongst the entire staff. I started going into insulin shock when I was passing. Quickly needing to collect and compose myself, decided to sit at a table outside. Simple things such as texting, walking, rational thinking, and verbal communication was becoming exceedingly difficult. After a few moments what appeared to be a few of the staff members came out to confront me. All they were concerned was confronting me about begging for money. For the record, I had not so much as as glanced at any other patrons much less interacted with the. A person who was panhandling not more 10 feet from me, witnessed the situation unfold.. That individual recognized what was going on and offered what little assistance they could. The staff turned their backs, ignored the situation, and walked away. In retrospect if you are set to inherit a vast empire or a large sum of money from a wealthy relative take them to Mamacita's for their last meal. Nobody really knows how that cyanide wound up in Great...

Me and My Hubby Joseph have eaten Mamacita's Taqueria I think over 37 times in the past two years! (I discovered them when I was a Barista at French Broad Chocolate Lounge) the service is sensational! the food is always super fresh! and for the amount you get its delightful! I love how they add free chips to the bag and free salsa on the side if you so choose! They are so passionate! hard working! and always greet with a smile even though the lines out the door 90% of the time because there so good! I know everyone works so hard there but there still the same people I first met 2 years ago! there is two people in particular that make me smile (the gentlemen heating up the flour burrito who has two diamond studs in his ears, and the girl that has the prettiest hair, last time I saw her she had purple! and we talked about hair treatments! ^,^) I don't even know there names but ! every time we go in, I always know that I will get the best burrito and Mexican food for the price! Thank You everyone! you guys are always amazing and make Asheville more sensational!! Im sure you'll see me and Joseph in for some more burritos! and chips with...

While spending a day visiting Asheville we had dinner at Mamacita's Taqueria. It wasn’t busy when we walked into Mamacitas. I ordered the Black Bean Burrito ($8,95). My wife had a special vegetarian dish; black bean, sweet potato and avocado tacos. Our friend had Quesa-Taco Birea Tacos. With that you tell them what you want added to your tacos or burrito. My Black Bean Burrito had Pico de Gallo, Guac, Cheese and Onions. Plus I ordered a side of Plantains. The restaurant is casual with a good number of tables and a long counter to eat at. They have self-serve water available which is a nice touch. The workers were all friendly and happy to add the type and amount of the extras you wanted on your tacos or burrito. By the time we were done eating it was close to 5:00 and  there was a long line to order your food. The line moved quickly. Most were taking their food to go.

I can't stop coming here!!!! I discovered Mamacita's recently with a friend and since then it became our new go-to place ✨ the employees are always super energetic and helpful, and the food is SO fresh and delicious every time. I get their draft beers as well (which I highly recommend). There was an instance when the beer quality was less than ideal but they quickly rectified the situation. I also recommend the avocado plantain burrito which I get almost every time I eat there~ They have both indoor and outdoor seating but I always sit outside. I am always impressed with how clean this place is too despite their many customers. So you definitely won't regret coming here next time you're downtown!! 😊

I really enjoy their vegetarian burritos. I'm hooked on the plantain and avocado one. The meats are all too greasy, so I avoid adding any of those to my meals here. The yucca fries with queso are delicious. They're thick, properly fried chunks of yucca. It's a bit of a pricy item though, however, some menu items are a bit high. The quesadilla is disappointing as it costs more than some of the burritos, and they use smaller tortillas. Just a heads up: go to the website for a good description of each menu item. The chalkboard in the restaurant doesn't have the room for it.
