Lovely outdoor dining area with creative and delicious food. The spendy cocktails are worth a try we had the my Fair Lady negroni which was a beautiful bright yellow and nicely bitter and an alcohol-free vermouth-based mocktail, an elegant way to start the meal. The ahi poke bowl was serviceable if not memorable, a little gomacio would have helped. I would have never thought to try a grilled watermelon salad, but it was delicious. And why not a little watermelon gazpacho to go with that? The salmon was melt in your mouth on the bed of the most buttery and delightful whipped potatoes. The sous vide hanger steak was flavorful with a spicy green garnish, and delicious potatoes dipped in a hot red sauce. In the end I would have taken a medium rare ribeye, but it was still good. The spicy jalapeno pickle relish was an indispensable addition. Decent macron cookies with a flavorful herbed sorbet and the decadent chocolate mousse with a name I couldn't pronounce or remember. A 30-year-old tawny port, and some frankly quite delicious decaf coffee finished the meal off well. Servers were kind, informed and working hard.

It was a rainy and cold night when we stayed at Ashland. We were so impressed of how many nice restaurants there were in Ashland. The owner of the small Inn we stayed at was impressed we were having dinner at Peerless. We appreciate the spaciousness between tables at Peerless. Our server was friendly and recommended a nice Chardonnay from the Applegate Valley. One new thing we learned about Oregon wines. My husband and I shared oysters from Vancouver to start our meal. My French onions soup was tasty but the star was the toast inside the soup. My husband had shrimps with peas that was delicious and flavorful. Instead of mains, I had Manila clams and my husband had steak tartare. My dish was quite large and yummy. The steak tartare wasn’t as good as the clams though the house made crackers were delicious. The in house made sourdough were amazing. We didn’t have dessert as we were very full. Peerless is an elegant restaurant features best of Pacific Northwest has to offer. A must in Ashland.

Easy online reservation via the restaurant website. Appetizers: 1) Sourdough and honey butter rope with sea salt and parsley 2) Carpaccio Soup and salad: 1) onion soup 2) lobster and fennel salad Entree: 1) market fish-flaky, white halibut atop asparagus risotto 2) duck breast with roasted root vegetables Service: attentive! Originally sat outside on a crisp spring evening with outdoor heater. After the sun went down, it became too cold and we (and, several other table guests) all moved indoors with ease. While the onion soup was topped off nicely, it didn’t resemble a typical French onion soup with a deep beef and wine base. Instead, it reminded me of a chicken pozole but without the chicken and chickpea. It was ok. Our favorite was the lobster and fennel salad by far! Accompanied by a generous slice of sourdough finished with creamy butter, the real treat was the honey drizzled butter. The entrees were very good and we’d recommend. I may return for the ribeye.

I recently had the privilege of dining at Peerless Restaurant & Bar that left me in awe of its exceptional offerings and impeccable service. From the moment I stepped foot into the establishment, I knew I was in for an extraordinary gastronomic journey.

Let me start by emphasizing the culinary genius behind this establishment. The food, without a doubt, is nothing short of amazing. Each dish presented a symphony of flavors, expertly crafted to tantalize the taste buds. The chef's creativity was evident in every bite, as they seamlessly blended innovative ingredients and techniques to create dishes that were as visually stunning as they were delicious. From the first course to the last, every plate showcased a harmonious balance of textures and flavors that delighted and surprised me.

Furthermore, the commitment to sourcing fresh ingredients was evident in every aspect of the meal. Each bite was an ode to the seasonality and quality of the produce used. The restaurant's dedication to working with local farmers and suppliers was palpable, as I savored the vibrant and distinct flavors of each ingredient. It was a true celebration of the local culinary landscape, making every dish a unique experience that showcased the best the region has to offer.

No fine dining experience is complete without an outstanding selection of beverages, and this restaurant certainly excelled in that regard. The cocktails were a delightful blend of creativity and craftsmanship. Each sip was a journey through a harmonious fusion of flavors, expertly balanced and presented with flair. And for those who appreciate the art of wine, the local wine list was a true masterpiece. It perfectly complemented the menu, offering a diverse selection of wines that showcased the rich heritage of the region.

Finally, let's not forget the desserts. In a word: perfection. The restaurant's commitment to excellence extended to the final course, where every dessert was a work of art. Each sweet creation was meticulously crafted, with a keen attention to detail and a perfect balance of sweetness. From delicate pastries to decadent chocolate creations, the desserts were a delightful culmination of the meal, leaving me with a lasting impression of their skill and artistry.

In conclusion, my dining experience at this five-star restaurant was nothing short of extraordinary. The culinary creations were unparalleled, with a level of creativity and freshness that left me in awe. The cocktails were a testament to the art of mixology, while the local wine selection perfectly complemented the menu. And to top it all off, the desserts were simply sublime. I highly recommend this dining establishment to anyone seeking an unforgettable gastronomic adventure. Prepare to be amazed and indulge in an experience that will leave a...

My wife and I have been coming here for years, but this last visit compelled me to write this review. First off the food and vibe are usually amazing. I’ve always felt you could never go wrong eating here, honestly.

But the 3 star review is for a couple things from my latest visit.

First, not a huge deal overall, but they allowed us to reserve a space online outside, but outside was closed for a wedding. So we were put inside for my wife’s birthday, when we really love the outdoor area at Peerless. Again, not a huge deal, it’s just we didn’t find out until the day before. When asked why we could book it in the first place, they told us they weren’t sure. Benefit of the doubt says that it could just be their scheduling systems fault, technology is weird sometimes.

Second, while enjoying our meal, a couple was sat next to us with a very fluffy white dog. This dog did not look like a service dog, albeit they were well behaved. This feels like it’s against health code first of all. And my wife and I were not asked if we had allergies, which we do to certain breeds. This whole interaction felt a bit odd for an establishment as upscale as Peerless.

So, the whole latest experience definitely makes me reconsider enjoying my time here, considering I’m paying around $200 for a meal for 2. Probably just an isolated incident, but again it felt strange there was no acknowledgment of...

Probably the best oysters I've ever had. The food was delicious, we ordered many things off of the menu that were creative, attractively plated and very nicely prepared. Kudos to the chef, I would look forward to sampling more of your delicious creations in the future. Other positives were the cocktails, I had a Vespar that was very enjoyable, the wine list was well curated and after dinner we enjoyed some lovely tea. The food and drinks were great, and I recommend them. Our server was professional, they were in no hurry which suited our celebratory meal perfectly. We were by no means lingering, simply moving at the pace that our server took things. All this would have been great, until the other staff began vacuuming while we ate our desert and drank our tea. It was unprofessional at any price point, but our bill was over $400 for the meal, it is not too much to ask that we be allowed to finish our meal in peace. Everyone can understand a desire to get off of work and move on to the next thing, grown ups and professionals know that the work is done when the work is done regardless of our...
