We just got back from "Hairspray." What a fantastic book, songs with powerful lyrics and rousing music, great choreography performed well by a diverse group. The performances brought such joy to the audience. Literally, the house was rocking. The show was funny and authentic to the Baltimore I know. Greta Oglesby as Motormouth Maybelle was so moving singing "I Know Where I've Been" that I cried because of the lyrics of the struggle we are still having with equality and justice, and because of her rich, powerful delivery. Katy Geraghty as Tracy Turnblad drove the show with her wonderful voice, dynamic delivery, great dancing.I have attended topnotch musicals on Broadway, and the quality and energy of this show ranks with those. I would love to see this performance again The...

Bathrooms were a decent size which was a relief during intermission (still expect a long line, though).
Location of this theatre is fantastic. There are so many places to walk to and shop or go eat or...
