2nd Street Cottages — Hotel in Ashland

Sugar is an inveterate and gentile host! On more than one occasion, my husband and I have been fortunate to take a respite in the Heritage House, the charming entrance of which immediately sets one’s mind at ease. In none other than perhaps one (!) Ashland STR have we experienced this impeccably a cleaned and welcoming home. Inside and out, all matters of ease, comfort, and hygiene have been extended for guests, inasmuch a gesture of genuine delight to make visitors feel “right at home,” as to treasure excellence of service above all else. Sugar’s immense heart shines in all the details, as well as in her willingness and enthusiam of availability. On but a single ring, text or email, our fastidious host can be reached. There was one particular occasion where we were stranded due to some severe winter weather, and Sugar dialed us back into our favorite abode away from home. We could not have been happier or more relieved! This old word Soul knows how to stay creative and collaborative if your sojourn requires a bit more than the average overnight arrangements, so be proactive and diligent in your communication. It never hurts to ask, and Sugar is one of those rare folks that ardently wishes to please, setting the bar stratospheres ABOVE her competition in the hospitality industries in...

If I could give Sugar 10 stars, I would. The Hideaway Suite was perfect and exceeded my expectations. Sugar made sure we knew exactly how to enter, and even sent pictures so we knew where to enter. We walked up to a quaint patio adorned with cafe style chairs and table. You enter the suite and head up the stairs where we were greeted with a GORGEOUS room! Plenty of natural sunlight, the most comfortable bed in the world and a large flatscreen. There was a small refrigerator, a few dishes, and a coffee maker. Off the bedroom were French doors that opened up to a large bathroom with a hutch full of necessities. I felt like a princess! |This is a must stay and I look forward to returning soon! My fiancee and I recently spent 1 night - unfortunately ... only wish we had more time - at the 2nd Street Cottages. First off, you won't find many nicer, more sincere people than Sugar. She is/was truly a gem and was so pleased that we were staying with them.||||The accommodations were fantastic. Great value and fantastic location, walkable to all of downtown Ashland, Lithia Park and hiking trails. We had a wonderful experience and HIGHLY recommend that you consider staying at 2nd Street Cottages while in Ashland. You won't be disappointed. Thank you again, Sugar....
