Cowboy Mac's Country Club — Restaurant in Ashwaubenon

I think this place has the ambiance, views, and potentially great vibes to be successful on event nights but I am concerned for some of the food quality and service(understanding this is new so I'm hopeful it will get better). My first concern is the food, tex-mex torpedoes sound amazing on the menu until they arrive to your table and the bacon is very rubbery and chewy so a bit more cripsyness would have went a long way, also the Cadillac Cowboy bowl had some pretty dry steak, overcooked shrimp and mushy rice as if it wasn't made fresh. Carolina pulled pork sandwich- flavor wise was good along with the coleslaw and pickles but definitely could've use old more pulled pork, waffle fries were abundant and very good. Brisket sandwich was good! One of our friends stated the carnitas tacos were very dry and would have liked to see some type of salsa with the tacos. Our server was nice and pleasant although it was interesting that we placed our app order and we were not able to place our dinner order until the apps were at the table, which is fine maybe that's the process here but even after getting our food and waiting for the bill or even a refresh on drinks took a bit longer than usual. I won't say that I will not be back but with other options so close, the competition is fierce and convincing me to comeback on a regular night that doesn't have an event will be...

Super cute bar and has great potential but is definitely not there yet. I visited last weekend, at the time there was an outage with my cellphone provider (cellcom) so I did not have any phone service. I asked the bartender for the wifi password, there were 3 seperate wifi options specifically for CowBoy Macs and one specifically called “CowBoy Macs - Guest”. The bartender told me no they don’t give wifi out to guests, I said it’s literally called guest to which he said it’s only for the DJ. Well there was a separate wifi for the dj… not a huge deal except he only gave me a QR code for a menu which I said I could not use as I don’t have any service due to the outage. He said he’d ask his boss for the wifi but he’ll probably say no. Well he never left the bar to go ask his boss. Drinks were pretty good but food was not great and would not be my choice in the area for Mexican food. I had one of the burrito bowls and it didn’t have a lot of flavor and was just kind of mush. Wish they did more a Texas bbq menu than Mexican food. Hopefully they improve as they just opened but as of now I would not recommend...

It’s a classy atmosphere with nice lighting and chill vibes. Nice date spot. Sports on the bar TVs if you just want to catch the game.

The drinks were delicious. We had the prickly pear margarita and the Crown blackberry lemonade. I’d recommend you try the lemonade for sure while you’re here.

The food was good. We had a mild queso appetizer. Pretty standard melted cheese and tortilla chips, not bad, also not something we’d come back for. I had the Carolina pulled pork sandwich with coleslaw. Everything was really fresh and light for bbq. My wife had the avocado salsa craft tacos. She wished she’d chosen something with meat, but she liked the bbq sandwich.

The service was excellent. We sat at the bar where all the bartenders were exceptionally friendly and checked in frequently to keep the drinks full.

Update: We’ve been there a couple times, and when the weather is nice enough to open the doors the atmosphere is awesome. Watch the Packers practice from the patio.

My wife really likes the chicken adobo tacos. The quesadilla trio is delicious! We would go back just for that...
