Golden Corral Buffet & Grill — Restaurant in Ashwaubenon

So there is 6 open tables and 4 taken ones. All but one of the open tables was filthy not oh its got some crumbs or a streak but full on chunks of food and assorted liquids. So myself and the 3 other members of my family make our way to the corner table. Naturally at this time we have two larger individuals come back with their plates and sit in the table in front of ours. Due to the cramped seating arrangement already we no longer have access to the 4 chairs to seat everyone. So 2 of us take the clean table and 2 others take a gross table close by. We go to get our food and wow ...everything was overdone and has been under a heat lamp way longer than is safe . Our server finally shows himself and throws his card on the table asking us if we need anything to let him know. He then moves onto the table where my other two family members are seated and they politly express that they are unhappy with the seating arrangements. He walks away . At this point it is already uncomfortable the food is close to being a health hazard and to top it off I am chewing my food when I pull out a very large piece of cooked plastic. (Pictures below) . I find the waiter and show him what I found in the food. Before I can finish talking he says I am going to get a manager. She walked up to me and hands me a free buffet coupon " This happens sometimes because of how our chicken is packaged." As I am mid sentence in the process of explaining my goal was not to get something for free as I understand accidents happen but for them to check the rest of it because there are many children who could be hurt by this. Before I even get three words out ( again in no way am being impolite or raising my voice ) she walks off . On my third plate I notice the waiter has not been around to my table or elsewhere. Nor to fill anyones drinks. At this point I had to stack my clean plate on the dirty ones in order to have room to eat. The same lack of service was displayed elsewhere as the other tables where left un cleaned .Normally GC throws fresh meat out and puts out fresh dishes pretty often this was not at all the case this time. SO I figured I would get some ice cream.. because after all how bad could that possibly be . Other than the dessert section being horrendously mislabeled and filthy! The ice cream machine was half chunks of ice cream and half liquid. The caramel topping was completely gone as well. So he finally comes around and refills our drinks (yay more warm drinks). I notice then they start going table to table and unscrewing the steak sauce caps . They where refilling (without cleaning ) the old steak sauce bottles!!! These are not meant to be refilled by the way they are retail not commerical reuse bottles . ( They have a softserve machine and a station where the employees scoop for you) the lady scooping was handling her cell phone then SERVING PEOPLES ICE CREAM! without washing her hands or changing gloves. (Seriously think of one person who has not had their phone in a germ infested area numerous times.) Mind you while she is screaming at her fellow employees she is also screaming and cussing on the phone. (I am not shy to language mind you but hearing screaming and loud crashing from back is not a good atmosphere) we get back to the table and then the waitress ( she was jumping and waving her arms just moments ago I'd swear she was drunk or something) starts mixing something in a cup looked like water and chunks of butter.( no idea !) And starts making rude comments to the waiter about the two remaining tables.(us and some other poor blokes who ventured in). There $6.99 Lunch Buffet 10am-4pm deal here is really $9.48 because they force you to buy a drink. They were defrauding public with their fake ads(Now Corrected). I ordered the meals with water because that's what we drink with our meals. The woman at the register rang-up full price of almost $20. I said $6.99 plus $6.99 doesn't come out to $20 (there were 2 of us witnessing this ridiculous display of greed). They wanted to rent us cups that we could only put water in for $2.49 and added that if I didn't rent the cups for $2.49 each that I would be charged full price anyway. I thought to myself WOW, that's extortion, would you like to require some protection charges to ? LOL. I refused, unlike everyone else inside who I guess are used to being treated this way. Just a note does anyone else find $2.49 a Ridiculous price for $0.10 worth of soda ? I went outside and wrote all this down on Facebook. They also had someone answering my Facebook posts with more lies. Then, they private messaged me on messenger and had a District manager get in touch with me the next day on the phone. At least this guy told me the truth that the ads did not say you had to buy a drink and we're corrected at 5 p.m. This cheap ridiculous company offered me $25 and then deleted all of my comments on Facebook. At least here it can't be deleted, and I have snapshots of all the Facebook's comments and a recorded conversation of the so nice District Manager that called me. Keep up the good work Golden Corral. UPDATE, that district manager sent me a gift card for $30. I used it to take my parents out to dinner and yes they did the exact same thing and then argued with me telling me again that they WEREN'T charging me for the drinks but the bill was almost $30. Again with the math making you rent cups that you can only put water in for $2.49. on top of that the Manager kept walking past me, giving me the stink-eye the entire meal. Some people just can't help themselves I guess. I can tell you the problem with this location is definitely the Manager. Serious attitude problem, and teaching her employees to do the same. Not a good combination for success.9-28-25 Update, doesn't seem like much has changed. Went this morning for Breakfast. At register said Buffet for 2. Register asked what would you like to drink? I said water, my company said a soft drink. Our cost was the same 14.99 x 2. A drink is posted at $3.15. It is illegal to charge for water at a restaurant. Same as before, years later nothing has changed except it's now twice the price and still forcing you to buy a 10 cent plastic cup of soda. The greed of this country is sickening. They had a machine with the most watered down Orange juice I've ever had. The best thing I tasted was Charizo & Eggs. There was 1 spoon full. This is at 9:30am. They replaced it with some kind of bread dessert. I overheard people asking Where is the Charizo & Eggs ? I said it was where that dessert is now. The Man, his wife, and 4 children said, we were coming back for that. I heard the Man request it, the answer was No were starting lunch now. The man replied at 9:45am ? The employee walked away from him. Lunch wouldn't start for another hour. The waitress took 15 minutes to even come to the table so my food was cold before we received a drink, or Hot sauce that I'm guessing is hidden because I had asked the waitress to bring the sauce with my water, she never did. Went to take my father and mother to a joint for food on the way we came across golden corral my dad‘s favorite place! By the way this place is open for business. Everyone inside is well coming. We went at noon 6:6/22- my dad had a bad appointment at the doctor so we had to discuss some things but this was his favorite place to have a serious conversation along with some good food. I will admit I ate more than just salad. I had broasted chicken that was hot and fresh and juicy and melted in your mouth. There were so many desserts I just took pictures of because I don’t eat much anymore I guess I’m getting old. This place is clean in the inside. There are people that don’t like a buffet. Well I’m kind of one of those people I was gonna go to red Robin until I saw these people are open for business. Haven’t been here in like three years. I need to stress the inside was clean. The staff was professional and welcoming. The salad greens were actually green! You have your choice of so many foods it’s not even funny. We went exactly at noon. We were given a fork and a spoon and nobody tried to move them around! That’s a personal joke by the way. I mean who would move a four to make someone look crazy right? Like that’s a joke. As in funny. As in try not to make someone look crazy but enjoy the pictures because this crazy stuff is good and you got to go to the Golden corral! Look there’s people that don’t wanna work. If you go down Mason and Broadway in Green Bay Arby’s doesn’t have indoor dining they have line wrapped around the building down the street. Starbucks doesn’t offer in seat dining. Culvers hitter mess. Taco Bell has free interviews? What the heck does that even mean? You go down the street a little more you’re in the worst area of Green Bay by subway and that gas station marathon or almost got jacked.
