I just spent $27.08 on a green goddess salad with a green smoothie and a cheddar cheese broccoli soup with two pieces of bread.
Not only did they not include forks and spoon but the cashier neglected to inform us that they were out of avocado(found out when my boyfriend got to the hospital where I am), which is a part of my green goddess salad. I understand they are not gonna do any kind of price adjustment during the ordering process due to not having an item, but I expect after spending $27.08 that the cashier has the decency to tell us that they’re out of avocado and it’s not gonna come with it.
Now, I just got off the phone with manager Hua and stressed to her that I don’t want a single thing from them. No refund or free item. That’s not why I called.
I called the store because Panera bread in my mind is a luxury food restaurant. With premium ingredients, wonderful tasting dishes and I consider it a splurge that happens once or twice a year if you’re in my tax bracket.
And with this in mind, if a customer is spending this much money on something that they call quality, there should at least be a fork and spoon to go with it, especially to eat when you have been stuck in a hospital for 12 days with a serious infection. Sometimes the one thing that you want to feel better about yourself is Panera.
Now, I’m gonna eat this delicious salad without avocado because It’s really really good.(The Green Goddess Salad is so good guys seriously) However, utensils placed in a To-Go order is a BASIC STEP in what I’m sure is a very simple process for working in this establishment. Additionally, there was no avocado, and all that cashier needed to do was say that so I could’ve ordered something else and not pay for an avocado that I’m not...

I arrived for a quick, late breakfast at 10:30. Waited in line while two, very slow, cashiers took four orders before me.
When I got to the register, I asked what fruit was in one of the smoothies to avoid an allergic reaction. The cashier jokingly said, "oh you askin the hard questions". Asked the other cashier if they knew, which they did not. She then went searching for the answer, only to return with a training manual where she could look it up..she was unable to find it in the manual. She then said, "oh, I'll just check the box". She went to the refrigerator, brought the jug of base to the register, handed me container, and said "here, check the ingredients, see if you're allergic to anything."
After finding that I wasn't allergic, I tried to order a smoothie and a breakfast sandwich. To my surprise, I watched the breakfast menu change to a lunch menu. The cashier then looked at me and said, oh we aren't serving breakfast anymore, we stop at 11:00. The time was exactly 11:00. I had been in line for 30 minutes, I had been trying to order with this same cashier for almost 10 of them.
After placing my lunch order, I sat with my friend to wait. Roughly fifteen minutes later, as my friend finished his breakfast, my lunch and smoothie arrived. The employee delivering them said, "sorry for the wait. Your order was lost". I had to get to work, so I asked if I could have it boxed to go. The employee handed it to me and said, "Sure, the boxes are over there", then walked...
Read moreI ordered a soy no whip pumpkin spice latte to go. Proceeded to pick up the beverage and employee said they didn't have soy. She did offer to make it with almond milk instead. I do not like almond milk but did not want to take up her time so I concurred. It was presented in a mug. I told her the drink was to go and then noticed there was whip cream on top. I asked, "Is that whip cream?" She paused because she was already irritated she had to fix the drink. She said she could take it off. I was perplexed. Before I could ask her to remake the drink the employee standing next to her laughed, looked at her and then at me, then shook his head. I did not want to make a scene. She gave me the drink in a paper cup-the same latte with whip cream simply scraped off. Why is this a problem? Some of that whip cream could have seeped into the drink. She can't just scrape it off-this will make me not digest food properly for 3 days. It's like a food allergy because dairy MAKES ME VIOLENTLY SICK. Staff was disrespectful and treated me like I was a pain when in fact they got the order wrong from start to finish. Staff at the registers should also know what the store sells and stocks (soy) as well. I would have not ordered the drink at all. I will not go back to this location, if...
