So anyway I get there at 255 they tell me they close at 3 and they can't get me done in time didn't know that's how stores worked but ok I'm like what your hours say 5 it took me 45 minutes just to get here cause I went to other location that you guys still have saying is open or I'd been here sooner. So then they look to see if my info is in system which never been at that location but been at other one then they say their computer automatically shuts down at 3pm on the button what if their in the middle of somethingš¤š¤š¤???? So then the 2 ladies continue to be mean and I ask if they know anywhere else that take my insurance they tell me Wal-Mart so I start trying to look up buses to see if I can remotely make it there Saturday bus don't run as late but nope they want to shut door now so they make me sit outside then they are not happy cause apparently not far enough away so tell me to go down farther toward mall so by doing that I miss bus so half to wait hour for next buses so no Wal-Mart good news Wal-Mart does not do my insurance plus why did I need to get out so fast when another lady was there I'm hoping to be able to go somewhere else this tag team bullying they do now is bad. Both pairs were made incorrectly 3 times! The first time the tech did not enter my prescription into the computer correctly. When the problem was discovered she said āI never enter in the prisms.ā As if that part of my prescription was optional. The 2nd time she only entered one prism and I have 2. I tried to wear those for a few days and got a migraine. The manager, Alex, told me to come in and sheād fix it, but she was gone when I got there. Another tech remeasured me and assured me the would get them correct this time, he even refunded $100. Great. The new ones came in last Friday- I was unsure about them, but he assured me the prescription was correct. Believing he checked them, I tried to wear them over the weekend. I got another migraine- another weekend shot. I brought both pairs to my eye doctor on Monday and 3 of the 4 prism numbers were off and the axis in one lens āwas off by 10.ā I donāt know what that means except my left eye still hurts from trying to wear these glasses. I got a refund, but now I have to wait for them to reset my insurance benefits before I can get new ones from someone who knows how to make complicated prescriptions. I took my daughter here to try contacts for the first time.It took nearly 3 months after her exam to schedule the new contact class for her (they had zero openings until then). I tried calling other Shopko eye places, but they would only do the class at the place that wrote the prescription (again, very strange. If you get your eyes checked at Walmart - you can go to ANY Walmart and get the prescription filled). She was really nervous & after spending 45 minutes trying to get them in, wanted to leave. The girl helping her was awesome, and said we could come back anytime to try the contacts again. I told her we would be back in June when my son would be due for his next exam. I called today and was told they will not give her another new contact class because we waited over 90 days to schedule the class (today is 96 days later). I told him I was never told this, and had assumed as long as her prescription is valid we should be able to try the class again (her prescription is good for 2 years). I was told she now needs to wait until January so she can have another exam- even though hers will still be good because her eyes may not be okay for contacts anymore. So I asked what if in January I had ordered her a year supply of contacts- would they be no good after 90 days then? This doesn't make any sense to me! If you give someone a 2 year prescription, you should be able to come in anytime during those 2 years to get new contacts. All around a very frustrating experience.
