Tasty burgers and dogs, but overpriced. The free peanuts do not make up for the fact that I've just paid $8-9 for a single burger, $3.50-$6 for an order of fries, and around $4 for my soda. While waiting for our order, we sat there figuring we could have have purchased over 24 liters of soda at any dollar store, making at least 72 drinks the size of ours, and I cringed on the inside. If want to try their shakes, it would set me back another $5 for the one size offered - medium. The three of us shared one. The fruit is fresh, the ice cream is a dream, the whipped topping tastes as good as it looks, but even with this delicious finish, I can't get over the fact that I paid $50 for 3 burgers, a dog, 2 fries and a strawberry shake, made my own drinks at a shady, sticky, germ-covered machine that had obviously been the sole entertainment for many a child before we arrived, and bussed my own table. The Cajun fries were so overly- seasoned that they were completely inedible; the plain ones were a real treat but the large at almost $6 an order, would serve at least 3 ppl. There is no way of knowing this beforehand. No table service, no drive-thru, no frills, cold uncomfortable seating, bags are soaked in oil - our food came packed to go, even though we were dining inside. We were surrounded by 100 lb sacks of potatoes and stacks of large crates of peanuts, a few opened so that customers can help themselves. I actually thought they had just gotten a delivery. As customers came and went, no one wiped down a single table, making me wonder when my own had last been done. If i'm paying upscale prices, I want to enjoy upscale, or at least moderate and clean, service and surroundings. Maybe...
Read moreMost of my burgers at Five Guys have been good and that's what I've come to expect, but my review will focus on a particular location and its service, not on every one I've visited. I think most people realize these burgers are overpriced, but they are better than what you get at the typical drive-thru. And then most Five Guys I've been to overload the fries, which is one bonus I think most people expect. However, on a couple of occasions at this location I've had to ask for more fries because the large fries I ordered would not have been enough for the four of my family. When I asked for more fries one time the person behind the counter thought she had to get the manager's approval because she was going to have to actually cook more fries. So instead of cooking more fries, she was going to shortchange my order. The other night I went with my daughter and they got her burger wrong twice before she just decided to ignore the mistake and eat it anyway. My complaints at this location haven't been with the food, but the lackadaisical attitude and poor attention to detail by some of the employees, which goes back to management. If management is letting it happen, that's another...
Read moreI actually like Five guys but this location has given me to much trouble that I’ve given up. I’ll just stick to InNOut or Whataburger. So I’m writing this review after my many visits here and sadly they have not been pleasant. So what I don’t understand is how they’ve managed to get my order wrong almost every time. I usually just get a little cheese burger all the way with jalapeños... that’s it. I’ve ordered Togo twice and on both occasions I’ve gotten home only to find out they’ve given me just a regular little cheese burger. After that I just stop doing Togo. In my most recent visit I came in and once I got the burger it was missing all the toppings except for the jalapeños. I went over to tell them and they handed me my toppings in a plate. What’s surprising to me is that it takes them SO long to make the burger and even then they don’t do it right. Which is saddening to me. That said the staff in general has been nice but the establishment is kept a bit messy. The tables always seem to be dirty and with only five guys you already know the wait is going to...
