MOD Pizza — Restaurant in Texas

Great service and good food. Quite the beverage selection, too. Always fantastic pizza makers and oven tenders. Never disappointed in food or service. Regarding COVID-19 Precautions: when someone comes in the store wearing a mask as a beard or otherwise incorrectly or nor at all, I expect that a supervisor/manager immediately (upon recognition or notification) address the person's or group's lack of compliance with County and/or business policy. I saw a woman and a boy (of about 10 years young) enter the store. Immediately, upon entering, she put the elastic strings of a mask behind her ears and adjusted the mask UNDER her chin, below her mouth, as if i were an under the face accessory; the boy was not wearing a mask. The woman and boy joined the short line, standing just aft of the large menu board. I was on the other side of the store, near the beverage station, properly wearing a mask, as was everyone else in the store except three people eating together, opposite side of the store from unmasked woman. As soon as I saw the woman adjust her mask under her chin and get in line, along with her unmasked child, I notified the woman that was monitoring the oven and removing, boxing up pizzas. I wasn't in the store more than 5 minutes longer after informing an employee of the situation, did not see any corrective action or hear a request from an employee to the unmasked woman. Hopefully, the unmasked woman was asked to correctly wear her mask and complied before she reached the sneeze guard to place her order. The boy, hopefully, put on a mask or did not get any closer to the prep board than he was already...

They were packed and couldn't handle it. Online and dine-in orders were backed up and people had been been waiting going on 30 minutes when I arrived to pick up my online order. The young man boxing and giving out the pizzas was very rude. He did not acknowledge customers and when someone would inquire about their order he told them that they were behind and did not care about someone waiting over 30 minutes and just shrugged his shoulders. Meanwhile he proceeded to throw the rest items on the counters forcefully. It was so bad multiple customers complained about it and him specifically. Additionally, the young lady that was cooking the pizzas used her bar hands to slide the pizza off of the prep racks. This is in a time that covid numbers are back on the rise! After waiting 20 minutes after my order was supposed to be ready per my online order estimated time...I decided that it was not worth it an I left without my pizza and without asking for a refund. I didn't want to deal with the employees attitude and decided to bite the bullet on the money I already paid and eat somewhere else! While I understand this was a higher volume than usual, the attitude and disrespect to customers is not OK at all! This has not be my experience with this location in the past however I don't think I will be back here...

Nasty. No gloves, no hand washing.

Today I went in to pick up an online order. While waiting, I observed multiple people handling the tool to put pizzas in and out of the oven, only one wearing gloves. The last person I saw do this (who later identified herself as the GM, Lisa) not only handled the tool, but then proceeded to use her bare, unwashed hands to move pizzas from prep trays into the oven, each time touching the community tool and not washing her hands.

At that point I asked for a refund. When I explained that I wasn’t going to wait for my order because I was disgusted by what I had witnessed, Lisa was very rude and told me “we aren’t required to wear gloves, and that is a 700 degree oven so I don’t see what the problem is.”

This lady didn’t see the issue with handling community items and customer food multiple times without washing her hands or wearing gloves during a pandemic. Are you serious? How many other unclean things is she running around touching during the day? Corporate can review their security cameras if they have them. This was between 1:31 and 1:35 pm.

This is nasty, avoid this location. How are you going to be in foodservice during a pandemic and not take basic health and safety precautions? If the “GM” doesn’t care,...
