If I could give no stars I would! HORRIBLE wait time in line. Employees talking to one another instead of ringing up customers. In line for 30 minutes. 3 employees working register and one additional hanging up some hangers. Guy manager seems to not care that the line is wrapped around the building because he walked right past the employees talking and not doing their job and didnt say a word to them. I could understand if they were understaffed but it doesnt look like it. They dont care and extremely poor customer service all around. Everyone in line complaining. Edit review: I wrote this review while I was standing in the long line. I wanted to come back and leave the rest of the review of my extremely terrible experience more detailed. There were a set of twin girls both in long sleeve khaki jackets, a Hispanic girl with a green or maroon shirt with jeans and their was another girl in black hanging up hangers. When I became next in line to purchase my items, two of them, one of the twins who was the closest to the wall and the Hispanic girl) knowing how long the line was intentionally got off the register and pretended to do something so no one would take me next. I could tell they were trying to conjure up a plan to see who would take me next or what it seemed like attempting to make me wait on purpose because I kept staring at them while I was in line. And the staring came from trying to figure out why there was more talking, laughing and lollygagging going on instead of trying to get the extreme long line down by ringing up customers and getting them out of there fast. Nothing was perceived as everything these young unprofessional girls were doing was purposeful and intentional. Every last one of them lack customer service skills and need to be retrained including the manager on duty who was in his own little world who clearly did not care what was going on. Even a simple apology about the line would have been nice but then I understand you can't apologize for something you created and blatantly...
Read moreMrs. Yolanda is the BEST associate ever. She is kind, helpful, compassionate, and intuitive. I was being followed and unhappy with my experience because the employees never greeted or initiated contact other than falsely follow and stalk me as a shoplifter, when in fact I suffer from various mental health conditions caused by two back to back traumatic experiences that affects my ability to choose and decision-making. I became frustrated internally and nearly gave up on the thought that MAYBE just one associate would greet me, offer suggestions or even a simple inviting smile. Never happened. But I was treated like a suspect. Very hurtful. I nearly left, angry and without buying anything. INSTEAD, like a breath of fresh air (after what felt like a suffocating aisle to aisle browse that I thought was afforded to all customers), Mrs. Yolanda provided the customer service that was COMPLETELY NON-EXISTENT until she stepped up to the task. She was intuitive, helpful, compassionate and she assisted me with not only a temp handbag (Brahmin was repairing finely carryall bag with warranty ) but her providing a space that offered true compassion led me to keep shopping and purchased clothes, candles and an assortment of other item. Now I can say that MAYBE Burlington is a place that people who are suffering with a disability and would like to be afforded a little understanding and assistance not false innuendos and judgemental behavior from store staff. Just an ounce of good genuine customer service and brief interaction with a customer can sort out ALOT! Thank you Burlington's for your day shift employee...
Read moreWhen I visited this store; there was only one young lady working the cash register, there was two other young ladies which I passed by them a few times as they were standing around chit chatting for the whole hour that i was shopping, I thought that they were customers at first until i got tired of waiting in that long slow line to pay for my items; i then went to the center of the store and yelled out, "is there anyone working here that can come help the one cashier and open another register"?. I then recognized the two chit chatters were not customers, they were employees. They only then came to open two more registers. I hated to have to yell out for the help but it looks like that is what it took to get the chit chatters to help get us taken care of, move the line and help that one cashier that was working. It is unfair to the one worker to be doing her job while there's 2 more girls hanging out doing nothing but chit chatting on the clock and having us customers to wait on the only one person working the register, and that cashier not once complained, she should be recognized for a good job of trying to do it all by herself. I feel that the other two non working girls who were just hanging out chatting should be terminated for not working. They seem to be just on the clock to hang out and collect a paycheck and let that one cashier work by herself and they did nothing but chat. I have their names if needed by...
