I just visited this store and not my first time I live near here and have never had an issue. However, today 04/24/2023 at 9:15pm I was targeted by the security guard (woman) light brown curlyhair shoulder length light skin African American with freckles on her face claims she doesn’t normally work at this particular location. She followed my husband and I while walking with my baby in the stroller throughout the store and when checking out she stayed right next to us at self check out. She was eyeing every little thing I was scanning. Keep in mind these self check out lanes will stop and say to make sure everything is scanned in the bagging area. The self check out associate was coming over to check each time and scanned her card so we can continue scanning our items. As I continue scanning my items, one of them did scan however, the screen did stop once again for the associate to come over I placed the item that was scanned in the bag and the “security” came running to my register and out loud told me (in a rude way) “that item wasn’t scanned”. I told her it did scan and when looking I realized I was wrong and scanned it. I did let her know the way she approached us was rude and she did not need to say it out loud for everyone else to hear. I did continue to let her know I can pay for things. I was not stealing. She still continued to try and look in my stroller with my baby in there and as she was walking away, she kept saying smart remarks. I still kept quiet. After paying she ran over to the main security guard I’m guessing, a older male white with a beard, light colored eyes, black jacket, and a black hat. I wasn’t sure what she told him but as we were walking out, he continues to look into my stroller where my baby is at he tries to stop us and says oh you have a baby in there with a smirk on his face. I was already agitated and continue to say don’t look at my baby or my stroller. You do not have the right to look in my things. And she said that they do have the right to look in my stroller. “We were on public property” so they can look at my things. Both security guards said this. I asked for a name and neither one of them wanted to give it to me. I hope no one else has to go through this. This was a very traumatizing moment for me especially in front of my child. I worked at numerous retail stores and I know the policy regardless of the fact they should have never looked in my stroller with my baby there that was the most disrespectful thing I have ever witnessed. I hope corporate sees this and...
Read moreI went today to make a few purchases. I had just finished paying. I had my 3 year old sitting in the front kicking and crying or rather screaming his lungs off. I also had my 7 month baby in the basket. I had a few groceries. Since I was having a hard time with my screaming 3 year old, I didn’t notice a small pack of dessert plates I had in the basket. The hispanic lady who came to assist in bagging noticed it. Instead of telling me” ma’am I see you forgot this. Do you still want it?”, she ignored I was there, turned to the cashier and told her “Did you ring this up?” (While making an annoyed snarky face). I’m standing there embarrassed/having a hard time with my child. It was obvious I wasn’t trying to steal $2 plates. I simply didn’t see them since I was having a hard time with my child. I wouldn’t have minded her telling me I forgot to pay for them. They were $2. Obviously I wasn’t trying to steal them. I have more than enough money to pay for them. It was an accident caused by my situation with my child. All she had to do was acknowledge the situation, acknowledge I was there by turning to me asking me if I still wanted. I would’ve apologized, had them ring them up and go on my merry way. I didn’t make a scene. Just paid and left. The reason for my review is for managers/corporate to take my feedback into consideration. You can tell when someone is trying to steal something. It was really obvious I wasn’t. I am an educated woman about to graduate. I have never stolen anything in my life. It was a very humiliating experience to be treated that way. I was with a 3 year old and 7 month old in his car seat. I am quite disappointed in the service I received today. Don’t think I will be going...
Read moreOn 3/3/18 I visited the store to shop at 10pm. Private select coffee was on sale for $2.99 for Saturday. I utilized the self check out number 4 and had numerous issues for which the associate was required to assist me and enter his code. There was quite a crowd and had to wait for David the associate to assist me even when he left the area to go to the service desk to speak with Roderick. Once I completed scanning my items, David then finally made it back to me to enter my produce. My transaction failed to show the coffee at the sale price. David told me that it was a Saturday only sale and it was 12:04 therefore I was unable to utilize the digital coupon. I found this to be ridiculous and requested the manager. Roderick came after speaking with David and told me the same. I explained that I had issues with the terminal and had to wait many times for David to assist me. That is when Roderick took it upon himself to inform me that it was my fault because the "Sale was on all day and I knew I wanted the item" I was livid at the fact that he would find it appropriate to reprimand me for shopping later and refused to assist me any further. I responded by requested that the items be voided. After they were voided, and I paid for the other items, I continued to have issues with the terminal. The receipt paper was jammed, the ink was low and the receipt had to be reprinted 5 times by David with the assistance of Bruce who was also present when Roderick failed to be minimally cordial to me and acknowledge my complaint. I do not feel it is your Managers place to reprimand me for having to shop in the evening after I get off of work I...
