Michaels — Local services in Atascocita

Michael’s (this one and the one in Humble) DO NOT HONOR their in store advertising. I have called the corporate customer service line three times now (they always apologize and give me a gift card). Great. I’d like to use the gift card to buy THE SUPPLIES YOU DISCOUNT IN THE STORE. Case one: the sign reads “Buy three, Get three free” When I brought my items to the counter I was refused the discount because “it’s not in the computer” I asked for a manager - call me what you’d like, I wanted to save $60. The manager was perplexed and then confrontational. Like I was the bad guy. Long story longer - this isn’t the first time. This happens regularly. I’ve gotten to the point of taking the sign down and bringing it to the register for me (after I was accused of showing an old photo of the same sign). Well. I’m done. No more Michael’s for me. Amazon, local art shops, etc will have to do. That’s a shame, too. Art supplies aren’t cheap - but my time isn’t cheap either. I’d rather drop some extra dough and NOT have to be a Karen every time I visit the place for something I love to do - and get paid for. Marking up...

I love Michaels but this one was so bad. I placed an order for a couple of supplies I needed for my business. I placed it a while ago while I was at work so when I clocked out I can stop by, pick them up, and proceed home. I get to michaels after work and I look for my order on the pickup shelf. I couldn’t find it so I looked around for a while I was thinking maybe they’re preparing it atm. So I spend 40 minutes in the store looking around and I come back a few times to check if my order was ready. There’s no one in the store, maybe me and this one other lady that’s looking around. I see retail employees stocking and I see three ladies at the register just gossiping. One behind the register and one chubby girl with black hair and glasses and this other middle aged worker just laughing and chatting. I’m wondering if my order is gonna get done soon or not . I just lose my patience and leave. I literally just ordered one spray paint can, a small bottle of glitter and one...

This place I use to make me my family and kids all the time. If they did not have my needs, I would be recommended to another of their sister locations or even the competition, my needs were set above any other. One day last year in 2022, I had to use the bathroom. There was something blocking the woman's bathroom. Not a cleaning/caution sign, just a plastic piece with no symbol. I went in anyway, and saw something I could never imagine. A female employee on her knees and another male employee standing Infront of him. She was giving him pleasure. I could not tell who the male employee was as his face had turned when I had entered, but he was white, the girl looked middle eastern and her name badge I think spelled out "Isamar", I could barely tell with liquids covering it all. I don't want to think of what those liquids were. Quickly got out of the bathroom, scooped up my kids, and got out of the store. Will never come back to a disgusting place...
