I just left ulta, spent an hour or 2 trying to do my research on products to clear up my skin/acne etc. I was so frustrated with the person who was originally helping me out with genuine advice, but it was made abundantly obvious she suspected I had to be stealing or something, because since I was told she didn't know much about the product/brand I was interested in I turned to google, which I suppose means I'm trying to do something wrong? I came in expecting to spend a pretty penny, and this woman was taking these products out of my hands and telling me not to get them and instead handed me these boxes of sample products with the same brand-name, minus what I specifically said I wanted. After her hoovering over me, telling me what I shouldn't and should get, taking things out of my hands, and obviously making judgements on either me doing something criminal, or being too poor for my choices, I about left the entirety of my stuff down. I wanted to leave and take my business somewhere I was treated with respect. I was near the point of bailing when the manager came up to offer me help, not making me feel pressured or overwhelmed, and if it were not for her save, the $125 dollars spent would have been gone. I understand that people steal makeup a lot, but I didn't even have a purse with me. I was very offended with the ridiculously obvious stalking going on. And that's not okay. I felt negatively judged and uncomfortable. I want to thank the manager for being patient and understanding, all while not noticably watching my every move expecting I'm shoplifting. I can see clearly why the manager is the manager, I can't stand a salesperson who can't even try to act sly while ensuring nothing shady was being done, and to take products I planned to buy out my hands totalling over $100, to give me the sample version for $36?? That's incredibly rude and judgemental. Kudos again to the manager, she saved the day...
Read moreNot only was I supposed to go out and eat with Big Sis Tex, but we were going to look for a place to have my ears pierced. Right after my meal and pineapple mimosa, I "googled" the nearest place to have my ears pierced. Got real lucky and Ulta Beauty popped up. Right around the corner, at Westlake Marketplace! Thankfully! I may have "chickened" out otherwise 😉! And I have never been to a Ulta Beauty store before. A new experience for me. Loved it! No sooner than I walked in, I was greeted and asked if I needed help. Off to the races it was. The young lady escorted me to the "salon" area and set up an appointment with Ms. Chavier, picked out my earrings, paid and waited a few minutes. Ms. Chavier was really good! She located where I wanted the piercings, made some dots on my earlobes and let me look in the mirror if I was good with the positioning. Everything thumbs up! The piercings themselves went fast and painless! Ms. Chavier is really good at what she does and better yet, made me feel comfortable throughout the process! She did give instructions on follow-up care. Next I did ask about fragrances. This store doesn't carry Chanel, but it does carry YSL. Off to the testers! Of course, found one I liked. Ms. Daniela got the fragrance out and was able to let me purchase it right there - without having to go to the registers. A very good experience! The store itself very clean and organized. Glad that I found a new store to go...
Read moreWent the other day to shop and return an item and unfortunately did not have a good experience. I wanted to speak to the manager because they did not want to do the return, and it took her 15 min to come to the register. When she did, she didn’t even acknowledge me or the fact she took soo long to get there. I did not have the receipt and the manager gave me such a difficult time returning the item because it wasn’t showing up in “their system”. She asked the cashier, “do we even sell these here”? The cashier told her yes, mind you I was standing right in front of her. Then she persisted to ask me if I had used the product(which I had not) as you could see the plastic was still intact with the clear tag. She was cold and her demeanor was just not customer friendly at all. Coming from a manager background myself I was disappointed. I understand many people have ruined it for the good ones when we need to return something but we are not all the same. I feel they can do better, even with their training associates. The cashier I’m assuming she was new asked questions and the manager and other manager just seemed so annoyed with her. I felt bad for her, so I hope if someone reads this that this will help them do better.
On another note, the guy who was working that day was helpful and had a smile on his face assisting other clients. Kudos to him as I have witnessed this from him other occasions I...
