My wife really likes Jersey Mike's. It's in our "dinner out" rotation and we land there typically around 3 times a month. Always a good experience, always good food - but for me, it's just "pretty good."
But last night was something different. Something special. Daveon, Max, and Jamar (Man, I hope I got their names right) made my "too tired to cook" dinner an "dinner experience." First, the restaurant was clean, service was quick, and everyone looked like they were having a good time but also on task (as it should be).
Then we started talking about options - not as part of the order - but in the way people who love food talk about options. Everyone of us - my wife and I and the workers were all engaged saying "oh yeah, that's sounds good." And "Have you tried the spicy relish?" and "Man, the bacon here is great, I like that." "Bro, I didnt know you could toast the bun too..."
Max was making a sandwich (that I think was her own dinner) and she made some choices that blew my mind and made me go "ooh. I want that!" Not only did my shift in order not bother them, but suddenly the whole crew was engaged in making me the perfect sandwich. It became a collaboration of creativity, taste, and the "joy of sandwich." I'm not exactly sure why this moment we shared made my evening that much more special, but it did. It was unexpected and delightful.
At the end of the day, the food was good and all, and I really liked it. But it was your people - THESE specific people - that made me want to come back to Mike's again.
To the management/owner/whatever of Jersey Mike's in Atascocita (store #15172) - you likely know this, but it bears a mention - the success of your business isn't only measured on the bottom line. In a time where the customer experience (CX) seems to be an after thought, good CX matters...but GREAT CX...well that's a whole other conversation.
You have great employees (especially this crew). I believe teams typically reflect leadership so, good on you, but don't take that for granted. You'd do well to incentivize these folks to not only stay, but share what they do and how they do it with all incoming new employees. Great job - we'll definitely be back.

Read moreI placed an order online today and arrived at the time my sandwich was to be picked up. My wife went inside and they told her the sandwich wasn't ready. She waited in the lobby for ten minutes waiting for the sandwich to be completed. During this time, two people without an online order walked in and ordered a sandwich, and had their order completed before my online order. I went inside to see what was going on, and I could see two employees huddled over my sandwich trying to bag my order. The cashier handed my order to my wife and as we walked out the door my wife touched the middle of the bag to feel the bread. The bread was hard as a brick. The paper bag was softer than the sandwich. We brought the sandwich back to the counter and asked for a refund. No apologies, just okay, processed the refund as if it was our fault. I usually order sandwiches for my family here once a week but never again will I go to another Jersey Mike's...
Read moreI never write reviews, but this time, this time, is worth it. Let me start by saying, the customer service was fantastic and this is my first time ever being here. I literally walked in expecting to walk out with nothing... but immediately, Brook (I believe that is her name, sorry if it isn't) complimented my shirt. Joshua was at the front and I told him, "I only got 10 bucks on me. What can I get?" (again, expecting to get nothing) I didn't have enough for anything... BUT THEN JOSHUA WAS LIKE "You know what, I can give you a discount, I gothchu"; allowing me to afford a sandwich. I immediately smiled and thanked him!! I will definitely return to this location with enough money this time lol. I have never experienced something like this before!! Thank you; Josh, Brook, Ryan, and especially Joshua for all being awesome!! See...
