This places look like an authentic hole-in-the-wall BBQ joint which gave me high hopes, in a addition to some praises from friends. However, I can’t say it is worthy of a 5-star review. When is comes to BBQ for me I always gravitate towards the pork ribs as my favorite item to get at every BBQ joint. Now I must they weren’t bad, good flavor is sweet and savory. There were really tender fall off the bone parts but some that were a bit dry which happens so no hate there. My husband got the moist brisket sandwich which he said he enjoyed but I thought lacked flavor but to be honest I’ve not been a fan of brisket. However, I would say that good BBQ shouldn’t have to be doused in sauce to taste good and I would have said this brisket needed sauce. On to the sides: Fried okra was decent, could used some seasoning thrown on it or mixed in the batter. Similar to the fried pickles, crisp batter but the taste of the batter used was just not doing it for me, good thing they had ranch. We also had the Mac and cheese and it wasn’t my cup of tea but my husband really liked it. Throwing this in here last is the review of the establishment. Like I said authentic, so it really looks the part which is neat for a BBQ joint. Presentation of food wasn’t there, for me it made the food seem unappetizing as we ordered but my husband insisted this place was good so I didn’t complain too much. If I could give a suggestion, it would be to present the food better, the pictures online would look better with some better placement and lighting. The photos didn’t really grab my attention and make me crave the food. I hope this review will help whoever decides to read it.

I have been eating at Tin Roof for many years. And while I personally have never found the food worth bragging about I have never been as dissatisfied with the quality as I was on my last visit. Ordered dinner an hour before closing. Meat selection was down to 3 (which if you understand the BBQ business is completely understandable). However, what was dished out was less than acceptable and truly should have been disclosed and discounted. Brisket - only the lean was put on the plate, generally you ask the customer if they want the lean or the fat side. The slices were dry and picked up like a stiff board, not flimsy to the point of almost falling apart (standard lean brisket slice test). To a point that the plastic knife had difficulty cutting. Sausage - good flavor, but very dry Chicken - good flavor, but very dry. Again, could not cut with the plastic knife. Couple of lessons can be learned here. If it’s close to closing and the meats are below standard quality tell the customer and offer a discount. I get it, local businesses need our support and I love supporting local businesses. At the same time, earn that support by valuing our hard earned money that we are choosing to spend at your establishment. Don’t charge us full price when the quality is less than 50% I will definitely eat hear again and may update this review in the future.

I recently visited Tin Roof BBQ and, unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing. I decided to try their BBQ baked potato. However, the potato was dry, and the chopped brisket topping was lacking in flavor. It felt like a missed opportunity. The only redeeming aspect was the BBQ sauce, which provided some much-needed moisture and flavor. At $16 for just the baked potato (no sides or drink), I’d say save your money especially knowing Spring Creek down the road is over a dollar cheaper! There are certainly better options out there for that price. As for the customer service, it left much to be desired. The staff seemed more focused on rushing through customers than providing a welcoming experience. I barely received a glance or greeting from anyone behind the counter. The cashier directed me to the credit card screen and promptly left, making the experience feel more like a self-service kiosk than a restaurant. The atmosphere was great and the kids play area made childcare easy hence the 4stars for atmosphere. Overall, I left Tin Roof BBQ feeling unsatisfied with both the food and the service. I won’t be returning anytime soon.

After patronizing this establishment for over 18 years, TODAY ENDED any future visits and spending MY money where it’s not appreciated. Tin Roof makes errors with your food, then they’re angry with you for their mistake. Wes, evening Manager- instructed me to take my business elsewhere after serving me another incorrect Chopped Baker for the second time. Even after the first error, and receiving credit I continued to “pay” and leave the credit there for over a year. TODAY I redeemed that cash credit. And seemingly, there was disgruntlement with the transaction. Upon returning the entree in error, the owner and Wes said I cussed the staff over the phone when I called expressing the error. THAT WAS A BLATANT FABRICATION!!! Wes was rude hung up the phone in my face upon hearing their error. I called back three times before he actually listened to my conversation, (continually talking over me). Once I returned the food, I was huddled with six different people surrounding me. As though I was the problem!!! Simple fact; Tin Roof made the error, and had a problem with me because it was my second time receiving incorrect order. Shame on them, for directly making up a lie for their wrong!!! As I walked away the old lady said something smart. But, echoing Michelle Obama ; “when they go low; we go HIGH.” I walked it away with my $20 cash, and dusted my feet from ever setting foot on those grounds! Facts: people that don’t look like them are treated differently! I’m done! ✅ Burns BBQ … I’ll make the drive; patronize your own! 💥

Nancy , you are a LIAR!! No ONE heard me cuss. I did NOT. Continue to Lie to try and keep your establishments reputation and your efforts to defame mine name; just won’t work. !! GOD sits high and looks low… your response and behavior is on you, your staff and Wes!! Be careful how you rise to the top, everyone can...

I a relatively new Texan (4-5 years) so I can't really say I "know my BBQ". What I can say is I love it a ton and I've had a lot and this is my new favorite place!! 5 stars is not enough. We'll get to the food, but the atmosphere was just awesome. It helped that it was a much cooler evening when we went, but it was a Friday night, the band was playing, kids laughing everywhere on the way to or from the playground or snow cone counter; just a wonderful family environment. I felt there was a good selection of beer (even several taps!) and prices were reasonable especially for the quality of all food and beverage. BEST BRISKET EVER. Melt in your mouth tender, smoky flavor, and moist enough to fill a pool. The jalapeno sausage also had fantastic flavor and wasn't too salty. The two sauces, classic(?) and smoked jalapeno, were among the very best I've ever had. Prices were typical of a quality BBQ joint and I felt it well worth it. My wife had the chopped brisket sandwich that had even better smoky flavor with an awesome peppery-ness that reminded me (in a good way) of a really good pepper jerky but of course much more moist.

10 out of 10, would recommend, this is my new go-to BBQ! Everything else gets compared to this from now on.

edit I forgot the sides! Holy moly! We had green beans that were perfect and the mac and cheese was really excellent. My wife and I kept on fight for...
