The Catch: Atascocita — Restaurant in Texas

Update 05/10/21 I have to update my review and drop it from a 4 star to a 1 star. We've been here many times and never been disappointed in any kind of way. Always great food and service. However, tonight the service was by far the worst we've ever experienced here. When our order came out they were missing one of our kid's plates plus the crawfish tails and gator bites that were supposed to come in our platter. The girl seemed so confused and went to go check. About 15 mins later out son's meal finally came out. We sat there and waited for our crawfish tails and gator bites and nothing. My husband went to check on it multiple times and every time they would just say it was being made. An hour in and still no sight of the crawfish tails nor gator bites. By this point we just wanted to go home so my husband went and told them to just issue a refund. They had this poor young girl doing everything while the manager on duty just sat around doing nothing, I saw the manager clean a table or two and nothing else the whole almost 2 hours we were there (mostly waiting on the missing order), all while the young girl was running around the restaurant trying to keep up with orders. I have been coming here for years and never have I experienced this kind of service. Very disappointed tonight. --‐------------------------------------------------------------------------ Ordered the grilled salmon and it was good in flavor, however some of the rice was dry and hard. My husband ordered the fried fish, shrimp and chicken and it was delicious. They also make their own tartar sauce and it was by far the best I've ever had. Service was fast and everyone was friendly. We just moved back to Atascocita and we were trying to find a good seafood place instead of driving 45 minutes to our favorite place in our old neighborhood and we have found it! We really enjoyed the food...

Today is my second time coming to this establishment . The first time was with my husband for date night we wanted to try somewhere new in the area where they sell crawfish. And they were ok, their fried green tomatoes were to pretty good too. Today I bring the whole family pay 85 dollars for a family of 4 which I don't mind at all when the service and food is good, or so I thought based upon our first experience. This time husband order a whole pound of boiled shrimp for 16.99, he added corn and potatoes for 1.99 extra and also the smoked sausage for 3.99. Still fine, he receives the order and its 5 shrimp in the bag. Did they weigh them frozen or am I just being ripped off. I went to the front and spoke with Katelyn and told her what transpired and she was very snippy, sassy and not at all professional she exclaimed that the aforementioned was a total of 1 pound. Which I explained the shrimp should be 1 pound alone as we paid extra for the other items. She says he weighs them every day he knows what it is, which I assume she was speaking of the cook. She handed me another bag of shrimp and said he weighed them correctly but here is another bag. As if she did me a favor. Not even having a chance to began eating my shrimp and grits yet, I sit down to eat and try to enjoy the evening with my family and the grits taste like 5 day old oatmeal. How that's possible I don't know. And you know I probably would have tolerated it but the service from Katelyn was so horrible I took it back. I will never ever return to this establishment again for 20 dollars more we could have enjoy led a quiet clean atmosphere at Pappadueax's as usual. That's what we get for trying something new. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE IN ATASCOCITA - DO NOT COME

Let me start by saying that I am NOT the type to write a review (good or bad). However, this is a special case in which I am certainly willing to go out of my way because I don't want anyone to waste their time here.

I used to love The Catch. When it first opened, under their previous owners and managers, The Catch was awesome. Unfortunately, ever since new owners took over in August, everything has gone down hill. THE SERVICE HERE IS TERRIBLE. There is about a 95% chance they screw up your order. Whether its charging you extra, bringing you the wrong food items, cooking your food incorrectly, or forgetting to bring out your food items as a whole. All of which have happened to me in the 3-5 times that I have been here since the new owners took over. I tend to give second chances when it comes to restaurant, but today was the last straw.

After making several mistakes with multiple orders, TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, and great deals of rudeness and attitude issues, I have decided to not come back.

Today the manager came out to try and "fix" the issues, and she literally made everything much worse. I have never experienced such a rude and disrespectful manager of a restaurant here in the Atascocita area. She was awful.

Today, we literally made new friends with another family, sitting at another table, because we were having a conversation and sharing stories about how miserable our experience was today. We literally made a new friend pact to never come here again.

I will say this, the food, when you actually get it, if they cooked it correctly, if they brought the correct quantity and size, and if it was priced correctly, then, and only then is it pretty good. Unfortunately, that only happens about 5%...
