I understand that glitches in the order system are not the fault or responsibility of individual restaurant employees and managers; however, the industry that you are in is customer service. Or at least it used to be.
So, as I explained to the manager on duty after waiting for the Whataburger system to catch up with my #FavorDelivery app at the other manager's recommendation to no avail, when I have a valid order # and a full order description for one of YOUR delivery customers and you refuse to make the order on the grounds that you "can't" do it without a screen behind your counter telling you to, what you really mean is that you refuse to, and it's your overreliance on technology (having apps communicate with each other rather than making an effort to actually serve people) that has deluded you into believing that you "can't."
And when a manager dismisses a legitimate request such as mine by waving his hand in my face and walking off without even attempting to be polite, then I sincerely hope that the other crew members watching understand what a poor example this so-called boss is setting and are not expecting to be treated any better by such a person.
To the other Favor runner who saw the debacle I was having and reassigned his customer's order, I sincerely hope you communicated the circumstances with your customer and with support services rather than choosing your own personal convenience over your job description (also "customer service").
Because broken systems don't get fixed if no one is willing to do anything about it. The robots certainly aren't going to do it for...

2024 - I only come here as often as I do because it's close to home and my husband is obsessed with Whataburger. I HATE this location 🙄 I will NEVER, NEVER understand what takes this location SO long to make and serve food.... (6-19-25) Once again, sitting inside the dining room, waiting 30 minutes for our order, while watching several tables get their food before us...those who ordered after us
(2-27-22) Our order only took 11 minutes tonight, but as usual, the order we received was incorrect. A lady took our complaint and made sure the issue was corrected. A young man told me her name is Laura. She has provided the best customer service here since Clarita! Laura was awesome This location is the worst excuse of a Whataburger ON THIS PLANET !!
(2-1-24) this is absolutely NOT "fast" food! Waiting 25 minutes in the lobby for food is ridiculous! I also saw some pretty unsettling handling of the food being prepared. Apparently food safety is not a concern to the employees here.
(2-12-18) I've been here for 20 minutes already and still haven't gotten my food. I ordered one sandwich. I sat in my car waiting in the Drive-Thru for 11 minutes before deciding to come inside, where I waited for another 8 minutes.

Read moreI came back home to visit and was looking forward to a Whataburger, because they don't have them where I live. I told my family how awesome the burgers are. After waiting in the drive through for 10 minutes last night, we ordered, and the person repeated our order back perfectly. We pulled up and they only had our drinks ready, and we were asked to pull forward. No problem, because these burgers are worth waiting for, or so I thought. After we waited for 5 more minutes, we were asked to pull around the corner where we then waited another 15 minutes at least. Food came out and we headed back to our hotel room a block away. We ordered 5 combos, 1 being a kids meal. We didn't get ANY of our fries, and my baby boy didn't get his cookie that they even asked what kind we wanted for him. We didn't get the sides of mayo that they volunteered to add in. So just the drinks and not even warm burgers for all of us.
This type of disorganization and lack of detail is completely unacceptable in any workplace. I shake my head every time I hear people want 15 an hour for this job, and expect other people to spend money at a place like this. I understand people make mistakes of course but that many mistakes on one order is employees not taking one ounce of pride in doing things correctly and in a timely fashion. The manager on duty should also be expected to do what is needed to train and assist in any way necessary to provide some level of pride and detail in the group.
