This Halal spot is THEE SPOT! Absolutely outstanding! Customer service was extremely friendly and they went of their way to answer questions and also to accommodate a special request. The food was freshly made and came out hot, as it should be. The very first bite told the whole story. The oxtails were so good that even the bones were good! All of the sides were just so good. Unlike many places, this food was very flavorful. There was nothing in the order that was bland or too salty. They also serve you very nice portions. I highly recommend eating here and plan to return to try other menu items.

This place definitely lived up to the great reviews! I wasn’t even hesitant on trying it. It was devoured in no time at I have wanted to try oxtail and I finally found a halal spot. The macaroni with oxtail was exactly what I expected, meat so tender you could pull it right off the bone and the macaroni was top notch. We also tried the stir fried rice with jerk chicken. Every bite was full of flavors. We took our food to go and it was 30 minutes to order. The location is inside the market and parking gets a little tricky. Being from out of town it was also a little shady around the area.

This place is severely over hyped. Went in on a Saturday afternoon and purchased the grilled chicken dinner which comes with two sides. We chose Mac and cheese with rice and peas and everything was plated together. We also had the peach cobbler which was way too sweet. The food looks more appetizing but not as flavorful as it could be. The Mac and cheese was my favorite out of everything. Also, the food was not hot although we waited about 25 minutes and were the only customers. Sold 3 out of 5 stars.

I went to the ā€œsoft openingā€ and returned the next week (though I wanted to return the next day) to enjoy this killer seasons and prepared food. I had the Jerk Chicken Dinner with rice and beans and cabbage. The chicken was sooooo good; great flavor and texture. The cabbage (and I cook good cabbage) was superior. How does Auntee Vee’s get that much flavor in cabbage?? Oh! The cornbread…the cornbread is the BOMBā€¼ļø I suggested she sell it by the pan. It a texture and flavor winner. I’d go back just for that! Now, if you have a sweet tooth, then feel free to pick randomly because over my toe visits I tried them all, took some home to share, and they are all killer good, especially the Banana Pudding, Chocolate Chip CookiesBo, Peach Cobbler. Wow! The flavors, the flavors and texture—addictive food, for sure. Oh yes, it’s no wonder she is an award winner for her Mac n’ Cheese, it’s to die for. Friends, I live almost 40 miles away and I’m heading back to Auntie Vee’s a 3rd time in less than a month; it’s worth the time and cost (which I think is underpriced). Besides the food, I felt welcomed, appreciated as a customer, and served by the most beautiful spirited wait-staff ever. The second time I was there I leisurely dined and got some work done (using their complimentary WiFi). And in all that time I was there they never rush me out. If you like Al fresco dining, they have a beautiful front-facing patio. Check out the patio ambiance in the evening with the enchanting lights and music. Even if you cooked dinner (and live closer than I do) head to Auntie Vee’s for dessert. No regrets, only anticipating my next dining...

I can’t believe I’m actually writing this during the month of Ramadan about Muslim business owners as another Muslim im always super supportive to my black and Islamic communities especially the women and to have had the experience I had today while fasting trying to break my fast me and my family I’m super disappointed. We placed our order at 649 and didn’t receive it until 830 and we had to break fast with water and wait an additional hour. We called because the order expired on the app and they two women were extremely rude and condescending telling us we were supposed to call when we got to the lobby she said ā€œwell how was I supposed to know you were here?ā€ I’m like maybe based off the time of delivery or when you said the food was ready on the app? Then she says well it’s only 825 your time was 820 what’s the problem????? Maybe I waited an hour and 30 minutes thus far? Just to meet her in the lobby and her see that I’m Muslim and never said thank you or anything with an attitude on her face. Clearly this establishment thinks we need them and customer service isn’t important and it’s sad to see. I hoped I was an anomaly but then I saw how nasty they respond to customers on their instagram so unprofessional. All this for mediocre food! Philadelphia Muslims where I’m from would never. I would never spend a dime with them or recommend them to anyone. $70 dollars for 2 platters just to be treated like this? I can only imagine how they act outside of...

Since this is a black owned business, I decided to show support. I’ve only seen great reviews about this place on Google reviews and TikTok so I was hoping that my experience would go smoothly, but it didn’t. I waited almost 2 hours for 2 peach cobblers and a slushee that was kind of half a** made, and in total it costed $23. Their slushees aren’t really slushees they’re just ice cubes from the soda machine and purĆ©e mix…now it didn’t taste bad but it was hard to drink since the cubes weren’t blended properly and the straw was to slim to drink through it properly. The peach cobbler could have been so much better and for me to wait two hours for it I expected it to come out hot and fresh, instead it was hard and overcooked and was greasy? People that came in way after me got their food before me and they had actual meals I only had dessert so I’m confused as to why it took about 1 hour and 30 minutes to make my food. It’s not like I ordered a whole entire cobbler….Nobody came over to make sure that I was okay or to give me an update on my order, I had to walk to the kitchen/bar area and sit down over there to remind the person who took my order to check on my order. I really want to give them another chance but I’m afraid I’m going to experience the same...
