I have a Caribou Coffee Customer since 2004 and subscribed to the email newsletter since 2010. On May 12, 2013 on the way to Piedmont Park with my 3 boys and husband, I decided to stop and pick up my favorite 2 Medium Caramel Highrise Hot Beverages for myself and my spouse (it was a chilly breezy day yesterday) Upon entering the "supervisor" a female took my order and I paid her with my debit card. While waiting for my beverages I noticed the chalk board sign stated buy one get one free, I immediately pulled my email account up to find the BOGO email from Caribou, I asked the supervisor who took my order if she would honor this as I did not realize the special until after my purchase, s(Mind you I am a mother of 3 boys and it was mother's day) she stated " Oh, too bad you already bought the drinks." I then stated to her she could possibly credit my card for one of the drinks, she stated, "Well I would have to explain the voided transaction." At this point I was over the excuses and certainly was not going to beg for a free drink special for Mother's Day,and was put off and embarrassed by her lack of empathy and consistent excuses. To say the least I am more than disappointed in this experience on a day set out to appreciate not only Caribou Customers but Mother's. I would like for someone to coach this "Shift Supervisor" on Customer Satisfaction, and Customer Retention, she failed at this with an added lack of Empathy as well (I understand this is something that is a personal attribute and can not be taught, however she lacks this as well.) as I will not return to this location ever again. If you would like to contact me regarding this experience feel free to do so by email or my phone number listed...
Read moreI have never had anything but great experiences at Caribou Coffee Midtown. They whole staff is wonderful and will do anything to help you when they can. If anyone ever has an issue at Caribou Coffee, they are usually the issue. At any business, there are rules and regulations. if you are not willing to follow those rules and regulations, the employees are going to address it, as they should! Algernon Theodoric Ming, if there was an issue, I am sure that you caused that issue. The whole staff all the way up to the Store Manger, is great, helpful, and wonderful people! I have been coming to Caribou Coffee Midtown, for 13 years and over the course of that time, they have, had to deal with a lot of issues that many people may NOT know about, but that is why they have the rules and regulations in place that they have! In addition, to those of you that come and park in the parking lot and go elsewhere! It's not Caribou's fault, that you get booted. Signs are posted and if they are read, you will know that you cannot leave. Nevertheless, it is NOT Caribou's parking lot, but the owner of the property and he is the one that has the boot guys out there! So READ AND PAY ATTENTION and you will be good! At the same time, if you are going to write a review, please make sure that you have your facts correct and let everyone know what you did, in order to have the outcome that...
Read moreI live in the midtown area and Caribou is a favorite of mine so I stop here often for a drink/snack. I hope they never take the just egg vegan flatbread off the menu because it is SO good anytime of the day. They have great tea/lemonade options and seasonal summer drinks that are cool and refreshing. Definitely a good place for dairy-free/vegan drinks as you can substitute dairy-free milks and can even avoid the upcharge by ordering on the app. The only vegan sandwich is the just egg flatbread but it’s SO good, I get it every time. Sometimes it is out of stock though, especially on the weekends, which is kind of frustrating as they should have enough to meet demand. Also, most of the staff are nice but I have encountered 1 or 2 baristas which are not very friendly and act like they’re doing you a favor to give you any service. Otherwise, the atmosphere is nice, it’s a small place so not a ton of indoor seating but they have a few shaded tables outside too (if it’s actually cool enough lol). Clean gender-neutral and accessible bathrooms available to customers if you ask for the PIN. Small parking lot, they do have a 2-bike rack outside, and no stairs or steps with a handicap spot in the parking lot so it seems wheelchair accessible. Definitely 5 stars for the food and drink but keep in mind the small size during busy times and the occasional unfriendly service from...
