Churchills — Restaurant in Atlanta

A bar to avoid at all costs if you're older than 18. At least 90% of the people there were high schoolers who were clearly underrage. Unless you want to visit a bar that likes serving alcohol to children, this is a place to avoid. It gets worse too. The drinks were easily the weakest pours I've ever had a bar. Vodka crans tasted like straight juice, vodka sodas were served without even a lime, and while I figured at least they can't mess up beer, their beer was room temperature. Bathrooms are disgusting, even for a bar of this nature. Bartenders also were pretty young and did not provide good service between weak pours and slow service. Churchill's is a go-to spot on the weekends. They've recently renovated and are having a "Grand Opening" this weekend. I will be attending and anticipate many others joining me. They added these garage doors that, when open, allow for much more open access and easy movement from the pool tables and dart boards to the bar and patio. They have a friendly staff and cheap drink specials. I don't see much here on the weekends, but cold easily accommodate an office happy hour. The bouncer would not allow my friend in, despite him being well over 21 and having a driver's licence (albeit, from Washington DC), along with multiple credit cards, to prove it. When I objected and requested that the police officer present check my friends ID as only a professional could, I was told that the bouncer was in charge and was threatened with arrest if I pressed the issue.
