D'bo's Daiquiris, Wings, & Seafood — Restaurant in Atlanta

We attempted to order take out, which ended up being a complete fail. We entered and were told that someone would seat us, I explained that we wanted to place an order for take out. A employee advised that we sit at the high tables an review the menu via the QR code then either one of the bartenders or herself would assist. After 10 minutes a bartender asked if we were ok, I said No, we need to order. She walked off and returned to the bar assisting others. 5 minutes later, from the bar, she asked if we had ordered, I told her no, again. She came over and took our order. After about 45 minutes of waiting, we had only received water and lemonade. She advised that we had 10 minutes remaining. After those 10 minutes passed, so did another 15 additional minutes. I asked if our order was ready, as we had been waiting for over an hour and if our food was not ready, we could just cancel and leave. She said “it’s up to you” I replied, if the order is complete, we will take it, as it has been prepared, but we will not wait additional time for it to be completed or pay for it, in order to be obligated to continue to wait. I saw her go to the kitchen and close 3 boxes that had gotten placed on the shelf. No other boxes had been placed after the 3 she retrieved and wrote on. She returned with no food out to the bar. I asked was completed. She stated that she was bagging it. She returned and bagged 4 boxes. We waited a few additional minutes, giving her the benefit of the doubt that the food had been completed. She did not return with anything within the next few minutes, with an apology for the inconvenience or even an update. Therefore we decided to leave and patronize another establishment. First let me say that my waitress Darlene was wonderful. She needed more help is what the problem was. We waited, I kid you not at for least an hour before we got water. Then we were informed that we had to each purchase the two for $20 drink special, that we could not share one special. That was to force a drink purchase from each... okay cool we went along with that. We had come to far and waited too long to not have a drink. The drink was OKAY. Nothing to write home about. Now the food, lets get down to that. We both ordered the shrimp and fish meal. It was advertised as 3 pieces of fish, 10 shrimp and one side for $29. When our food came it it was missing a piece of fish so for $29 I brought it to the attention of Darlene our waitress. She said that she would mention it to the head cook. 20 minutes later she comes with 2 pieces of fish. Also they threw in a serving of coleslaw that was horrible. But the kicker was the bill. It went from $46 plus tax to $58. How? I don't know but I will say this, I paid it but I will NEVER go back. For mediocre service and thats giving grace, and sly not so honest behaviors I would rather spend my money somewhere else. Oh and let me not forget, my daughter asked for another tarter sauce that never made it to the table. All that seafood with 1 tarter sauce the size of dipping sauce you get from McDonald's. You telling you want me to pay $9 in service and fees but I can't get a feasible amount of condiments to half enjoy my food. Thank you but no thanks I WILL PASS!!! November 1 2024: A shock to no one that lives around here, they’re closed. Sign ripped off the building and the inside gutted. Overpriced, insane service prices, and way WAY too many “waitstaff” that were just there to wear spandex.

Good food but they’ve recently added both a mandatory tip AND a service fee. I live in the building, order takeout, go back to my home to eat… I was tipping $2-3 every time because I’m not a dick, but now that you’re adding roughly 20% to the bill automatically I’ve started coming substantially less.

Doesn’t help that every time I make an online order, it’s a surprise when I show up to pick it up whether I wait 10 or 30 minutes to come in — y’all clearly don’t look at the online order tablet and start making the food when I get there.

The waitstaff is undertrained and indifferent, while waiting for my food at the bar you do get “a meal and a show” as you watch them all try to figure out how to do this serving thing. I was there when they posted the hand-written “gratuity added to all checks” signs about a month ago — sure fire way of knowing they’re underpaying while under training.
