Was very much looking forward to having a fun speakeasy in the area but I am sorely disappointed.
We arrived and sat down, the bartender handed us some menus but barely acknowledged us, no smile, no âhow are youâ etc. We ordered two cocktails and they were delivered quite promptly but with little excitement of fanfare. Iâm not sure we even received an âenjoyâ. The cocktails were super subpar, even compared to local restaurants like little bear or Talat around the corner. Prices were steep for what felt like completely un thought through and unimaginative offerings.
We also werenât offered any water, kinda of a staple of any cocktail bar of note Iâve been too. The vibe of the place was⌠lacking. It was clean but there was no theme, no story, nothing interesting about the spot - and based on the general service I donât think anyone was excited to be there. I unfortunately cannot recommend this place at all! Go to little bear for far better more interesting cocktails a few steps...
Read moreWeâve been waiting for what feels like years for Redacted to open! Itâs nice to have a later night spot in Summerhill. We visited on a Friday night around 10 pm and we (2) were able to get seating at the bar. There was a good amount of people in the bar, the space is on the smaller side but well laid out and didnât feel cramped at all. The owners/bar tenders are super nice and knowledgeable. Service was fast, prices were typical Atlanta prices about $15 a mixed drink. They have beer as well, a nice selection of Halfway Crooks. We asked them to get a little creative and make something off the drink menu and it was so good! I got a drink with a tequila base, my husband whiskey. I tasted his Old Fashioned- very good! It would be nice if they added some more bar snacks in the future since there isnât anything open walking distance. They do have a Charcuterie board available. Overall great spot to meet up with friends and have a few drinks, nice staff,...
Read moreThis bar was really needed in the area. Great location on Georgia Ave right across from Little Tart and Halfway Crooks. The bar has been open for 3 weeks at the time this review was written.
Went on a Wednesday and the bar was busy, but we found open seating. Cocktails are pricey at $18 each after tax. Had two cocktails made by two different bartenders and both were noticeably short pours, but the cocktails are balanced and tasty.
Nice ambience, chill vibe with couples and groups socializing. They donât serve any food and donât know if that will change.
Advice - pour a full glass. At $18 a pop, you canât skimp. Consider getting some small bites. Charcuterie board, peanuts, something to munch on.
Overall, the location, vibe, and tasty cocktails will bring me back. Definitely worth a visit, especially if you live in the area or want a pre/post...
