2/27/20 Visit: UpBeet is the place to beet (get it?) for quick, pre-set or customizable salads & grain bowls. The base, protein, veggies, fruits & topping options are many. Whoo-hoo for the V-Crew as both the Beyond Meat Hamburger & Agave Sriracha Tofu is available & not to mention that all the salad dressings are Vegan friendly. The menu boasts too many options to count & describe in the offering of organic bowls, smoothies/drinks, toast, and superfood lattes. The social approach is welcoming with a huge communal table in the middle of the restaurant that offers charging outlets underneath. There's a private parking lot with other parking options close to. I was happy with the salad I created that was topped with an abundance of freshness from the garden & my accompanying Cayenne Ginger Lemonade. I would like to see the employees with hair coming out of their hats to wear hair nets. We had to ask another employee to make our food due to another employee playing with her hair while she prepared orders. The employees work well together and are friendly and engaging. Great job on the usage of gloves, and price point per portion. I'll return each time I'm in Atlanta. *After I posted my review, I received a follow up from Jess Wallace, the Guest Relations Manager ensuring she would hold a staff meeting to address and correct the lack of hair net usage.

Love this place! In a world of fast food and tasty-yet-unhealthy options, Upbeet really stands out. The taste is amazing and the food is good for you! Plus, the utensils and dishes are compostable and everything appears to be sustainability-minded. Consider it a Quick-Serve Restaurant, a la Chipotle, but the ingredients are better and aren’t overly salted (seriously, did you know that one burrito from chipotle has an entire days worth of sodium?). Upbeet is a plant forward restaurant so it caters to the vegan and vegetarian consumers, but the meats they have are pasture raised, humanely treated, and the seafood (tuna, shrimp) are wild caught. Build your own salad/grain bowl or pick from the menu, you won’t be disappointed! Well, other than about you can’t take it all at once. This is definitely a return-to-try-the-rest-of-the-menu place, because there’s just so many great options. It does get busy, so there’s generally a line to order but they do encourage social distancing and staff appropriately so once you are ordering it goes pretty quickly. Apple and G-pay are accepted for contactless payment.

Loved the food and selection, only reason I gave 4 stars is to alert others to the fact that the parking is DECEPTIVE! Got booted while being a customer later in the evening. Since there is an animal hospital/emergency area adjacent apparently the towing company boots cars IMMEDIATELY when the restaurant closes, so if you get to the restaurant late and are sitting out on the patio you might unexpectedly have to pay $75 and wait 30-45 mins for the parking company to come out and unbolt your car. The staff doesn't really warn you (and themselves get frequently booted). The tech didn't seem to have any authority or concern that we were patrons of the restaurant prior and made us pay the $75 to unbolt the car. The signs don't really emphasize how strict they are about vacating the premises within the restaurant hours, so if you get there later you might run into the same issue....

I am a VERY loyal customer. I am here at least once a week. I love love love their Beyond Taco bowl! The reason I am rating 3 stars is that the service is so hit or miss here and not knowing what to expect when I come is extremely off putting. I have a number of examples and I will share a couple below.

While coming during the pandemic, there is typically a line outside because they limit the number of people inside. This can be inconvenient but it is absolutely the right thing to do. Today I arrived and there was a huge crowd on the inside and no one regulating the amount of people coming inside. People were sitting at tables marked as unavailable for social distancing. There’s usually a hand sanitizer station right by the register that I use upon entering and even that was not there today. I don’t understand how they are prioritizing safety one day and not the next.

Online ordering for pick up is extremely hit or miss. I have used online many times but had to stop because sometimes they completely FORGET to bring your order outside. One time I honked my horn and everything while watching them look at my car parked in the curbside station. I waited over 20 mins after texting the pick up number before going inside and complaining. My food was just sitting on the bench by the door that whole time so I requested the manager. The manager unnecessarily mentioned that she didn’t like my tone although I was rightfully upset. She did eventually give me a gift card and have my food remade. This was appreciated, but the entire experience was avoidable and her response to me was inappropriate.

In that situation and others when I am waiting extended periods in my car for the food to be brought out, it is impossible to reach the restaurant via phone call to let someone know you’re out there. I have even sent an email once to the feedback link on the website and I never got a response.

Online ordering gives limited options for example I want to add black beans to my beyond taco bowl and I cannot do that online. You cannot order lemonades online. That could be improved significantly.

Overall, I am consistently surprised that such a beautiful and tasty restaurant can be so mismanaged. The people who work the food line are always extremely friendly and they always know what goes in the bowls and give generous portions. I really appreciate them! Please improve the management and logistics so that I can continue to comfortably eat...

I loved coming here earlier in the year. It was an affordable (Atlanta affordable) place for me to get a quick healthy bite. I would always make sure to come here whenever I came home from school since we don’t have places like this where I go to school.

I came back for the summer to see that they changed their prices. I thought it was going to be a minor uptick to adapt to the times but this was a huge jump - My bowl went up nearly 4 dollars.

They claim it’s because of the supply chain and things are getting more expensive to uphold their overall quality but it seems to be getting worse. My bowl tastes different every time even though I don’t change anything. The chicken is dry more often than not. The pico has no flavor other than lime concentrate. That’s just to name a few things…

The drinks taste watered down now. I used to get the blue majik drink but now I just opt for water since the drink cost $5 for the same flavor.

The amount of dressing has now been limited to 2 half filled plastic containers, that get tossed after every use. Majority of the time there’s still a significant amount of leftover dressing left in those containers. They claim it’s the same amount but after seeing them squeeze that bottle for seconds at a time into my bowl to two quick drizzles of dressing…that simply cannot be true. You can’t even taste the dressing with those 2 containers, especially if you get kale. Each additional dressing is an additional charge, for a lousy half filled container.

To finish it all off, my bowl changes in price everything, even though, again, I never get anything different. I’m the past month my bowl has been rang up anywhere from $16 to $20. I keep getting told that’s just the total price of everything in my bowl, but it just doesn’t make sense to me.

This used to be my favorite place, not anymore. At least not...

Terrible, terrible customer service. I was ordering a smoothie with the older Hispanic man. They were out of something, so I needed extra time for my friend to decide on a new drink. So then another guest came in and their order was taken. He then began their order & the older Hispanic woman took my order. Two smoothies for two people. Once the smoothies were done, my friend made it to the counter before me and the older Hispanic man proceeded to snatch the smoothies from her and say “these aren’t yours.” I tell him, it’s two smoothies for two people. Whether he knew it was for her or not, snatching is RUDE.

After tasting the smoothie, I noticed it didn’t taste like it usual did. I ordered the beachhouse which is mango, banana, pineapple and mint. The smoothie I had was 100% a banana smoothie ONLY. So I went inside to communicate, the smoothie didn’t taste usual and if they could possible make it over. Everyone was dismissive and walking away from me instead of listening. The young white lady finally came over once she saw how frustrated I was. The older Hispanic man tried to run her off & wouldn’t allow her to speak to me. From there, he IMMEDIATELY started yelling at me and telling me and I’m wrong and just honestly not even giving me any room to talk. Not once was I combative or rude. I simply wanted it made over. He finally made it. Before leaving, Iwas trying to get the managers name to leave a review, but everyone walked away. The older Hispanic finally told me the managers name, Marsha, after she whispered 3 times then finally spoke it.

Once I finally tasted my NEW smoothie, guess what I tasted? Everything that is listened in the smoothie.

Thank you UpBeet for ruining my experience with your terrible customer service. It’s sad I’ll never...
