Loved some things, and had some “never again” things too, here’s a balanced and honest review, for those who may be interested, especially my matcha mamis! I’m going to start with the bad so we can end on high note!
Matcha Latte: Whewww. This was the worst matcha I’ve had. From the taste to the color it just wasn’t it. If I hadn’t ordered it for pick up and had time to taste and return it I would have. You could barely taste any matcha, it was thick and chalky, and left a little residue on the tongue. The color was a pale muted sage (seen in picture) which kinda leaves you to believe the quality of the matcha was low. I can’t in good faith not share that with other matcha lovers who may be wondering if it’s an authentic well made latte using a high or ceremonial grade product.
Now on to the good stuff!! I love the food I tried!
Golden Coconut Soup: what it lacked in heartiness and texture, it beyond made up for in taste! The flavor was absolutely succulent! It was perfect for this sunny but freezing false spring day! If you love a good curry soup, try it out.
Lastly, The Fire Flour (Avacado Toast): Ten out of ten! Finally found a go to Avo toast on the run. The honey and red pepper flakes were a great balance between spicy and sweet, and there was a great amount of avocado! The sourdough was a perfectly thick slice…like me lol I will definitely be back for this…often
This store is absolutely beautiful and the people working there seemed so kind. E+Rose seems to have so much to offer to cafe regulars, plant based babes and health enthusiasts alike, so although the matcha wasn’t a match, I’ll be back to try the myriad of options they offer. The smoothies and smoothie bowls seem to be the prize pick so that’s up next for me!
UPDATE: Their Smoothie Bowl is the Standard! I got the Blue Bae and it was absolutely perfect. It was so smooth and creamy, not too sweet, no ice and the toppings were the perfect complement, freeze or air dried currants, fresh strawberries, shredded coconut, chia, and local honey! I also added banana. This place...
Read moreI've been to e+rose in person and have also ordered delivery a few times. I was excited to see an Erewhon-esque spot in Atlanta with healthy, wellness-focused food options.
The Good: Tasty smoothies and acai bowls Super kind and friendly staff Good variety and selection of premium food options
The Not-So-Good: In-store wait times are excessive (45 minutes for just two smoothies and two bowls) DELIVERY BAGS ARE NOT SEALED to prevent tampering, which is unacceptable Bowl design needs improvement - they're too deep, making it unbalanced and hard to enjoy the full bowl once the toppings are gone. A wider, shallower bowl would distribute the toppings better.
The unsealed delivery bags are my biggest concern. When I'm paying premium prices for these items, it’d be great to have proper safety measures to ensure my food hasn't been tampered with during delivery.
I wish I could give e+rose a 4 or 5-star rating because I do genuinely enjoy the smoothies/bowls and the staff is always friendly, but a few things would need to change before I do. I am happy to have the option in the...
Read moreIf you’re in Atlanta and you haven’t checked out E+Rose Wellness Cafe at Westside Provisions, what are you even doing? This place is AMAZING. I stopped by recently and had the Pregame Bowl, and it was chef’s kiss delicious. The perfect mix of healthy and satisfying, packed with fresh ingredients that make you feel like you’re treating your body right without compromising on taste. It was like the perfect pre-workout fuel but also just a damn good bowl of food. But here's the real reason I'm writing this review: the staff. If you’ve ever been somewhere and felt like the service made the experience ten times better, then you know exactly what I mean. I lost my receipt from a month ago (classic move, right?) and needed it for work. Enter John, the absolute MVP. He went above and beyond to help me track it down. John’s attention to detail and willingness to help really stood out. Seriously, he's the best. E+Rose definitely has a gem in him!
So yeah, great food, even better people. If you're in the area, treat yourself to a visit. You...
