Zaxby's Chicken Fingers & Buffalo Wings — Restaurant in Atlanta

I've only been in this location a handful of times and 4 out of 5 they've been great except for today a Sunday around noon. Most actual born here from here Georgians all know that you either get your shopping done before 11 a.m. or after 3 p.m. on a Sunday otherwise you're going to run into your Church crowds flooding the stores and restaurants. Nothing wrong with that at all by any means. Today I was heading to pickup a doordash order that was heading in the direction I was heading to go pickup some storage containers. I walked into Zaxbys and right from the start it was chaotic. Not even organized chaos, they tried to look the part I'll give them that. I checked in waited and waited, watched all these customers come up and had either wrong orders or had not even received their food yet at the 20 minute mark. After 20-30 minutes I'm waiting because all these people were jn there before me waiting for theirs yet still. Finally a manager had seen me sitting there forever asked what I was waiting on, showed her my phone and immediately she wanted to start blaming the young gal that was doing Togo orders. Telling her where did that ticket go and so on. She had no clue. She was organized and I had a feeling it wasn't her. A couple minutes later as I'm watching the manager fumble through the receipts, she calls me back up and says, sir that order has been picked up. I said no it hasn't so she proceeds to show me a signature that is just a couple of circles and says, whoever signature this is picked it up. I laughed I said I wouldn't have a clue who's that is, but in my head I knew she had done that to cover her own rear end and she was so cool, calm and collective about it, made me suspect that this is her go to for letting someone else take that order or the kitchen not making the order at all and just throwing the receipt away instead of simply remaking the order because I was on contact with the customer the entire time and he never received it. She asked me to have the customer reorder it which was unacceptable and the customer never got his order.

Point of this story is accountability, Sunday comes every week and it's the same chaos, so pre-planning and having a meeting with all employees before the door opens would help with organized chaos, shorter ticket times, instead of showing your frustration as a manager, take some deep breaths, give these young kids and young adults that are working for you some words of encouragement and so on. Even if you think it might be cheesy, you'd be surprised at what it can do and the attitudes change from stress to upbeat and positive.

Don't go on Sundays between 1130 a.m. and probably 2ish unless you don't mind all the above. Again 4 OUT OF 5 trips...

Never eating at Zaxby's again after my experience there yesterday evening. I went through the drive thru and I was half way to my destination when I reach into the bag and there's a cold wet lump under my chips. A raw piece of chicken! I drive all the way back for the man to insult me by insinuating that I put it in there myself!! All I wanted was my money back and he tried to argue with me stating that "We don't serve this chicken" and I've reviewed the tapes. He made me wait for more than 15 min when there were no other people in line. I did not make a scene, I stood there waiting patiently. I'm sorry but reviewing tapes trying to prove a customer wrong for a meal that cost $6.43 wasting their time in the process is crapy customer service and is a failure to take responsibility for the mistakes of your establishment. He was condescending. He should've thought before he spoke. To accuse someone of putting a raw piece of meat in their meal is absurd; like I'm just driving around with raw meat in my car to get a free meal? No! I don't have time for that! If you work in customer service you should know how to treat every one the same. I could've made a huge scene, demanded gift cards, made threats to call the health department, but I'm not that person. I was polite and patient. I filed a complaint on their website. Obviously, I'm still a little pissed. This is a health Concern! I believe where ever the chips come from, also bags up prebreaded chicken tenders and the chicken was in the chips and that's how it got there. I did not put it there!! EAT HERE AT...

I have been to this location twice in the last couple weeks. Both times were the worst experiences I have ever had at a fast food restaurant (described below). Clearly these issues are not due to a bad day. The staff and management at this location are unacceptable. As much as I enjoy Zaxby's, it's not enough to visit this location ever again.

The first time I went during lunch- it was clear they were busy and the drive through was wrapped around the building, so I went inside to order. I was able to to order immediately, but noticed there were many people waiting for their food in the building. I waited over an hour after I ordered for my food (I ordered a salad and a tenders meal- no reason for any delay). I had to ask for my food multiple times. I could see the staff in the kitchen walking around and talking. They did not appear to be in any kind of rush. It was clear no one working there cared. When I got the food, it was cold (except for the salad, which was warm) and the fries were not seasoned. I truly do not understand how it took them so much time so get such poorly prepared food.

I returned during a less-busy time a week later. I used a coupon for a BOGO meal. The cashier had to get help for another staff member, both were giggling the whole time. They entered the two meals but did not ask me what I wanted (I had intended to order more food, get sauces, etc). They then proceeded to ignore me as I waited nearly 25 min for my food.
