A disappointing 2nd visit this week. Food is ok it's not a gourmet restaurant. The service was horrible, one of the youngest and perhaps newest wait staff was the only one that paid regular attention to our needs. The waitress who took our order originally was the same who waited on us 2 days before, displayed the same behavior as before to busy visiting to check on us. We watched her visit with guest all evening while other staff were actually serving these people, one right next to us while.our glasses sat empty and never offered to refill them. We watched all the staff and visiting seemed to be an accepted behavior. While observing, since we didn't have drinks, I saw in the kitchen a large male bare hand piling french fries on a plate which one of the wait staff then brought to a customer. I did have the opportunity to speak with the owner who blamed issues.on new young staff, not the case. Having explained most of the above to the owner I expected some thing more than blaming her new young new staff. Try the Beach Tavern or anything else if...
Read moreFood was not that good and service was horrible. We had to ask another waitress for refills and our check. Our waitress was very slow. After we left, the women that was supposed to be our waitress proceeded to follow us in the parking lot asking why we did not leave a tip. I am a waitress myself. I know how to and how not to wait tables. When I do not get tipped, I try to think what I did wrong and what I need to improve. I would never treat a customer rudely. The waitress claimed she had been a manager for years. We told her nicely why we did not leave a tip. She began to fight us verbally and was very rude to us. We tried to explain why and she began to attack us. Everything we said she had a negative response. After she got mad she walked back into the restaurant and slammed the door saying uncalled for remarks. We are locals and have been a few times to there, but we will no longer give our business to this restaurant after the way we...
Read moreThe person claiming to be the manager is in dire need of customer relations and management skills training. My wife and I were there with friends last night. I asked for something simple (well done fries) and was promptly told that they wouldn't be prepared as I'd asked because they were too busy. I glanced around the restaurant noticing how few customers were there and before I could say anything, the waitress said, "Looking for a manager? Don't bother. I am the manager." I then said, isn't the customer always right? The managers reply was simple and to the point. She said "NOT HERE".
As I mentioned, we were there with another couple so I didn't want to ruin their evening. Had it only been my wife and I, we would have gotten up and walked out. I own a corporation in Texas and another corporation in North Carolina with outlets in 10 different states. I'm no stranger to acceptable customer service requirements, and this...
