Breadsticks Cafe & Grill — Restaurant in Atlantic City

Absolutly Hated it , asked for specific table at 9am that had to be cleared. Told us sure just give us 10 minutes. 15 went by they said sir youre table is ready, however it wasn't the table we had asked for even though that table was now cleared and open. I Asked for it and they said we'll we have you set up here at this one. Not a good start. Check this out, They sat not only one but two diffrent parties down back to back at the table we wanted whom had eaten and left and only then our waiter approached us asking us have we ordered yet. What?? The Food was horrible very bland for a high price meal. I do better at a local deli. My order was wrong but I accepted it as I wasn't waiting another hour anf half to eat. My wife said how does the food have no taste & My father in law only took two bites of his scrambled eggs and a fork full of potatos and pushed his dish aside. I said dad is youre breakfast ok, he said no not at all apologizing to me saying this place Ed used to be awesome that's why I recomened it. He apologised several times to me cause I lost my appetite as I was fuming with the time it took to oder. Now if that's not bad enough We ordered a toasted bagle with butter to go at end. That Took over a half half hour to come out How Its a freaken bagle , and when I brought back to our room and handed to my daughter she opened bag and said Dad this isn't a toasted bagle and its not butter its cream cream cheese I dont want this you know Im alergic to cream cheese. ..Man this could have gotten ugly fast. The Place wasn't even that busy...you want to go here GOOD LUCK!! You would think the waiter would come to youre table asking hows you meal but no, even when bill came and seeing three diffrent meals hardly touched hed be concerend asking was everything ok? I come here everytime I'm in atlantic city so it's always been one of my favorite places to eat but I always forget to so the review!!

I will say this, the main reason I come back is the absolutely gorgeous view you get from the restaurant. If you can please sit by the window. Its worth it. Now on to the food.

I had the Belgium waffle and the eggs benedict breakfast as well as a coffee and a cosmo which I forgot to take a picture of. They also offer a cinnamon swirl breakfast.

WAFFLE :10/10

The waffles they offer... Are... Needless to say but I will... Amazing!! So soft and fluffy and the fruits so fresh and when I ask for extra, extra, extra, extra whip cream they always oblige without complaint or extra charge. Its also soft and fluffy and I always forget to use the syrup because its so good without it.

EGGS BENEDICT WITH HOME FRIES :7/10

This is a hit or miss. The food is a amazing but the last few times I visited they barely put any hollandaise sauce on, which makes the whole meal(as shown in one picture of when I went vs the other) Also the poached eggs was WAYYYYYYYYY overcooked. I tried sending it back but each time it was the same. Its a hit or miss with this.

COSMO :7/10

Not much to say. I've definitely had better but it wasn't the worse. Taste good, strong and basically it did its job.

COFFEE :7/10

good coffee. Only frustrating part was the coffee was given inside these very, very tiny cups. I legit finished in 3 gulps. It was cute but unnecessary. Would have rated higher otherwise.

Overall the prices are reasonable and I'd definitely suggest this for a good breakfast spot that's close to the casino area without...

I'm not sure what issues occur when some posters give negative reviews, but must say we were hesitant to have breakfast at breadsticks based on several of those reviews. Being hungry and ready for breakfast and wanting actual eggs, etc. My wife and I decided to give this cafe a chance. When we arrived, a greeter welcomed us and immediately sat us at a clean organized booth with a beautiful view of the ocean. The special for the day was a flanksteak skillet w/two eggs done to your liking, hash browned potatoes, onions, green peppers and queso fresco cheese for a very good price of $19.99, I actually could not finish the amount of food that was brought to our table. My wife ordered an ham and cheese omelet, the waitness took our order after being seated for about five minutes and the coffee server was the most attentive, pleasant person one could be, almost to the point of over doing it, but was fantastic! After about ten minutes our food was brought to the table, I have to say I was very pleasantly surprised to see the quality and quantity of food ordered. Each dish we ordered was absolutely delicious and cooked to exact desired specifications. So for us, we can only say how pleasant and attentive all the servers were and how excellent the quality and quantity of food was, and at a very reasonable price. Not to mention some gorgeous ocean views. We actually returned the next day with our daughter and her boyfriend and enjoyed exactly the same service, atmosphere and quality of food, ...
