My party of 10 went here last night for dinner and I have to say I was extremely disappointed with my experience. Not only was the staff not up to par with a fine dinning experience but they made us feel very unwanted and unwelcomed. I had to ask multiple times for someone to send our server over to take our drink orders to no avail. Not until I very loudly almost shouting asked again did our server come. Once he did he took 1 persons drink order and started to walk away. I had to ask him very loudly 3 more times while he was walking away to take the other 9 peoples drink orders before he did. Although the whole restaurant and staff noticed this no one came to see what the issue was. It wasn’t until almost 45 minutes later when we were almost done with dinner did the manager Joseph come and check on how things were going, which I informed him not good and I would tell him the issues after we were finished with our dinner. When it came time to order our entrees I had to ask if there were any specials for the night, which I was very briefly informed of. Waiter: “We have a surf and turf” Me “ok what does that entail, what cut of steak how big of a cut what’s the surf part is is baked stuffed shrimp scallops lobster tail?” After being told it was an 8oz filet with lobster tail I asked what type of lobster Maine, Canadian, or rock lobster. The server said he’d check and let me know. After waiting for about 10 minutes I again had to ask him what type of lobster it was.I ended up ordering the 8oz Filet which they brought out with a butter knife for me to cut it with and I had to ask for a steak knife. Another issue was even though the table was still eating appetizers they decided to bring out our entrees. I was literally eating off my dish when the server came asked if I was done which I replied “no I’m literally eating and we have food on our table still” did he continue to clear my plate and put the entrees on the table. When we were done eating we waited for the sever to come check if we wanted tea coffee of desert which he never did. Now just wanting to leave I asked for the check which took 20 minutes to come out. After we paid, the busser came to clear the table and asked us if we wanted any dessert or anything the first and only one to ask. After I paid the bill and tipped our server 18% although the experience and service was not worth it did I then talk to the manager Joseph and express my issues. My food was very good but the service and...
Read moreI read the reviews and saw the ratings before coming here and still was a bit hesitant about what to expect. However after dining here I am an immediate fan and would gladly recommend it.
A combination of Italian charm and freshly prepared food makes this place memorable. My date and I were greeted by the manager, shown to our table, and seated with napkins in our laps. His genial smile and warm nature set the tone for the rest of the evening.
We tend to share plates so we decided to order the fried calamari, the scallops with orzo, and finish with a slice of fig chocolate cake (for me) and creme brûlée (for her).
Generous portions of bread and baked parmesan cheese triangles were brought out and served with olive oil that was a bit heavier than virgin. A wonderful start!
The calamari was next and served with a marinara sauce that must have been prepared that day because it was so light, tasty, and had a bright color. The calamari also had fried baby octopus dispersed throughout which was, in my opinion, better tasting than the already yummy calamari. Like our bread, the portion was generous and more than enough for us.
They served the main dish in separate plates for us featuring enormous perfectly cooked scallops atop a bed of orzo and an addictive (mushroom?) sauce and caramelized strips of bell pepper. Scallops can be tricky to cook if the proper attention is not given. These scallops were the perfect firmness, buttery, and very large. A half portion was just the right amount for me but the full portion would be ideal if I wanted to indulge a bit more.
Dessert proved to be the grand finale to a splendid dinner. The cake was served with figs and topped with fresh whipped cream. The subtle hint of fig within the cake was delightful and my date concluded it must have been a substitute for flour. She remarked her creme brûlée was fantastic.

Read moreLoved it. We visited for AC restaurant week 2020. It was a bit of a chore finding our way to Capriccio but honestly it can be that way in all of the casinos when trying to locate a restaurant you haven't visited previously. W were greeted by the Maitre D' after passing through the bar area. The restaurant was busy, but not overly so. We were given our choice of booth or table. We chose a booth. The space was sufficiently lighted and decorated in an elegant Italian style (not that anyone would expect a Moroccan motif at an upscale Italian restaurant). All of the food was fabulous. Hands down our favorite meal during restaurant week and we loved all six of the restaurants we visited this week. For starters we had the Formaggio Burrata and the Insalate Di Cavolfiore. I liked the sake so much I would be happy ordering it as an entree in a slightly larger portion. It so good I ate most of it before my wife could snap a pic. It entrees consisted of Vitello Milanese (veal) and Roasted Bronzino (sea bass). Again, just wonderful. For restaurant week, since it is fixed price, most of the upscale restaurants that participate offer slightly smaller platings of their regular menu items. Capriccio is no exception. For instance the chef informed me that on the regular menu the roasted Bronzino would be two pieces of fish instead of one. I had to laugh because I was already full. There is plenty of food for the price. Lastly for dessert we had Tiramisu and Mango sorbet. A nice closing act to our dinner. Every restaurant week my wife and I take the opportunity to visit 5 restaurants we have never visited before. Our rating scheme is simple. Is the food and service good enough that we will return again to experience the full menu. The answer here is a resounding yes....
