9/2/23: UPDATE - so after sending an email to this guy I get NO RESPONSE. NOTHING.
So obviously I sent another email, profanity and all, since they can't be bothered to respond for a month to one email I figure I'll match their energy and attitude.
This guy full on admits that emails go to SPAM folder (no shhhh!t bruh) which is a him problem not a me problem. For a month he can't be bothered to check spam folder when he's commenting on people's reviews to email him. SMH
Instead of apologizing for the rude staff he came at me for my attitude 😂😂😂 further proving that the entire staff's laziness, nasty attitudes, and extremely poor customer service starts at the top.
Who does this guy think he is? Al Yeganeh?! Am I gonna be met with a "no burgers for you!" if I walk by this place?!
He really thinks he's doing something by telling me Tropicana will be sent my email. As if in this day and age of technology people would use their real names, emails, phone numbers, etc when calling out a business 😂😂😂 bruh can't even understand that workplaces have special email scam filters that'll block 75-90% of outside email address emails so if you're expecting patrons to email you then you should probably check the spam box. This can't be the first time that's happened and if he's that old and unable to understand technology then it's time he's retired and replaced by someone with a better attitude and understanding that people don't want to be treated poorly at a restaurant, no matter the quality of the food. Especially since AC is a tourist area, eventually it's going to catch up with you. But this guy, Jason Kowerski, doesn't seem to even understand spam filters on his email let alone how to be nice to someone. Hope he has the life he deserves and more people realize that the nasty attitudes and poor service are unacceptable. They don't want to listen to people who are upset at being treated badly but they'll maybe notice if no one wastes their time eating there.
8/1/23: Food is good and that's about it.
Staff is always slow and sort of rude. Service is just plain AWFUL. Normal servers would refill a drink when they see it's low - here you practically have to hunt down your server for a refill. Takes 10 min for someone to even come to the table and greet you and it's always a "be right with you" which means they'll be around in 5 minutes.
They do below the bare minimum and that doesn't make it worth it to go back. It used to not be like that and it's sad that management clearly has no idea how to train staff on good customer service. The benefit for me is it means I don't have to tip and not feel...
Read moreMy husband and I were walking around Tropicana on Wednesday (6/4/25), unsure of where we wanted to eat. We saw Broadway Burger Bar and said that looks good. It was still early, before Happy Hour, so there wasn't anyone there. Our waitress, Liz S., was so amazing. She was very knowledgeable of the menu and explained they make everything in house so the food is made to order how you want it. She was able to make sure my food allergies (black pepper and onions) were accommodated. My husband got the Manhattan burger, medium rare, with tots and I got the Turkey BLTA with sweet potato fries. We both asked for our bacon to be extra crispy. Food came out perfectly cooked! Bacon was the perfect crisp and crumbled when touched. My husband's burger had the pink he was looking for and he hasn't been able to get a burger cooked the way he's asked for it to be in quite some time. Everything was delicious. Burgers were juicy. My cheese was oozing on my turkey burger. Loved the cheese pull. Can't say enough about how good everything was and the service. We sparked up a conversation with Liz on a few occasions and she mentioned her son's birthday was coming up on the 16th. When we got out check, I noticed our table number was 602. My birthday (and reason we were in Atlantic City) was on 6/2. I chuckled and told her I loved the table we were sat at. She then asked me if I had food allergies to almonds and a couple other things. She surprised me with a almond bread pudding to go and even put a candle in it so I could make a wish later. Above and beyond!! Not sure when we will be back in AC but Broadway Burger Bar will be a...
Read moreThe burger I had was decent enough, clearly made from a ground chuck mixture which is fine for its price point, although I thought it was a little unremarkable taste wise as if the seasoning was a little lacking and I ordered it medium rare and it was more medium well. Fries were very good however.
My issue with my experience was I went in when it was not very busy and the service staff basically all hung out at the front of the place gossiping and being kinda annoying, they treated us like we were an annoyance when we were almost the only people there. At one point they pointed out someone at a another table and were giggling about something..? Does this place hire directly from middle school?
Nice looking place, I would've probably tried it again but just went with a different kind of burger but the service stunk and isn't worth dealing with again, I can only imagine what they're like when...
