I went to this location today at 2:31 PM and my experience was awful. I had placed 2 separate orders, one for my friend, and one for myself. I had let them know of this ahead of time and they had only asked if I could let them know when the first one ends and the next one begins. Simple enough. I had my son in the car, it was hot, and we had just spent the afternoon shopping. Absent mindedly I went to hand my card out the window when the total was given, forgetting I had placed two orders. Quickly before the employee took my card I said very kindly "Oh wait! Is that the first order?" and the young lady says in a very patronizing tone "YUP! 4pc chicken tender! 3 tacos! 12.68" which you know, whatever, people have bad days, typically I would have chalked it up to that, and went about my way. I said to my friend "Maybe she shouldn't be in customer service" after she slammed the window shut in my face. The next time it opened a man was there, which again, no big deal. My friend ended up paying for a portion of her meal with quarters and was lacking 58 cents. Again, no big deal. Meanwhile the slue of employees manning the drive thru start laughing and mocking us while we are in ear shot. I am already a very sensitive person, so if I would have known my friend was going to be short/paying with quarters I would have just paid for it all to avoid the fuss. He then refuses initially to tell me what the total is that is remaining for her. He just says that it was not paid in full. Finally we get the right amount. He then hands me my food and meanwhile still patronizing, still giggling among his colleagues about my apparent misfortune. Then he says to me "You have a great Hanukkah" and so I say "Um, I don't celebrate Hanukkah?" and then he says "You have a Merry Christmas then." and so then I say "Well, what if I do not celebrate Christmas?" and he says "WELL THEN ANY HOLIDAY YOU WANT IT TO BE" Sure, if it was close to any of these holidays I would have just scoffed it off. But, it's apparent that he was making these remarks in a way to say "F* you, have a nice day." So I proceed to call the establishment and he's the one I end up speaking with. I begin to explain that regardless of what you intend to say to someone it's about the impact that it makes on the other person and how I heard him and his colleagues belittling/patronizing over the change. He says "You do not have a valid complaint and nothing to complain about." I proceed with what I'm trying to say and he continues to talk over me at this point SHOUTING at me. Then while I'm in the middle of my sentence he hangs up on me. So professional right. The fact that he behaves so righteously when he works at a fast food chain is the part that baffles me. You are belittling a customer over using quarters yet you work for minimum wage in the worst take out restaurant on all of Civic Center Drive. I did end up calling the main office and two complaints had actually been filed. So,...
Read moreI definitely want to throw out a BIG thank-you to a worker named Chad. He was working the drive-thru at this Augusta location on Sunday, 11/15/15 and after a long 2 days of flight troubles while trying to return to Maine from a week away, we finally arrived at the Portland Jetport (just south of Augusta) and could return home! I jumped out of the van (as a passenger) to use the restroom while my sister made the orders. I went in and there was a sign on the ladies' room that said "Closed For Cleaning". I had a long morning and asked the nearest worker at the cash register if it was okay that I run in and use it, in which she responded, "Well... not really. I'm cleaning the walls and that's my project for today. I really am not "suppose" to let anyone in". I verified by saying, "So, I can't use this restroom, even without touching the walls?". She responded, "Noo, sorry" and carried on with taking care of indoor customers as the restroom remained closed with no active cleaning occurring. As I proceeded back to my sister's van (who was now collecting her food at the drive thru window), I decided to speak to a "team member" whose name tag read "Chad". I explained the situation to him as I told him that a "restaurant serving food and drinks should not be ALLOWED to deny use of a restroom to customers" and he totally agreed with this and urged me to come in. I returned (I really had to go now!) in where it appeared the younger worker was arguing with Chad and had refused to take the sign off the door and he clearly stated to the argumentative worker (so everyone could hear) "YOU CANNOT DENY A CUSTOMER THE RESTROOM!! Please go in!" THANK YOU CHAD!! The young lady actually had the nerve to then say "Well please just don't touch the walls" which I responded "Didn't plan on it!" Wow... it was weird. I never leave reviews but this whole scenario was just unnecessary and I felt like Chad was above average in his duty to fulfill customer needs and was displaying the best standard with his moral and ethical judgment that ALL Taco Bell workers should have. Also, how many customers were unable to use the bathroom that afternoon because no one questioned the "closing for cleaning"? To the young lady that had too much time on her hands, please evaluate this occurrence and remember that it is illegal to deny a restroom at a restaurant and try treating customers/people/strangers as you would want yourself or your parents to be treated. End of lesson & again, Thank You, Chad. I hope you...
Read moreI go to your establishment every so often. maybe once to twice a month. I never have any issues there and normally I have a good experience there. today was a TOTALLY different story. it was horrible. I first started cashing out with a man, I realized he was new off the bat. nothing wrong with that. I ordered a chicken nugget meal. I asked him “what size are the sides for that?” he said a small I then asked “can we make that a large?” he shook his head. he was taking a while and was struggling a bit but yet again no big deal I don’t mind. I then went to the bathroom and my dad grabbed our food. I came out and I got a small fry. (also keep in mind my dad ordered a large fry for himself) I went up to the counter and said I didn’t get my large fry. no big deal wasn’t mad just wanted what I asked for. this women wearing a green hat with some other colors on it helped me and pulled up my order. she looked in the back and told someone I needed a large fry. I then said we never got our cups because we didn’t. she then takes her head pulls it around the corner looks at my dad and in the worst attitude and gave me the worst face says “he is actually eating a large fry right now.” I then told her I also got a large fry. she pulled up my order again and said “you ordered a small” I then said how I did ask for a large and her response yet again In an attitude. “he’s training. i’ll get you another small” then walks away and rolls her eyes at me. she then slams my small fry on the counter. oh and she gave me a small cup to. every time I would go up (to ask for a sauce or something) she would give me an attitude and roll her eyes. at the very end when I ask for a bag she gave me a big smile and said “I hope everything was good for you and you enjoyed eating here” this was the worst experience i’ve ever had. she should be fired or put in the back. she has no...
