As an individual who prides themselves on customer service I was highly disappointed with the customer service I received from the bar tender. Her name was: ADRIANA, ADRIAN, or a variation of the above.
My spouse and I were out for the evening conducting some Christmas shopping and wanted to wind down in a relaxed setting. He suggested P.F. Chang because it was a place I never been before and isn’t located in my state so of course we HAD TO TRY IT ! Upon entering the ladies at the front were warm and inviting. We were sitting at the bar awaiting service when the bartender walked around to the seating side, reached across me without even greeting us to wipe down the counter (which I appreciated ) however she did not acknowledge us. I said “hello how are you” she looked at me with an attitude and responded rudely “I’m employed”… I’m unsure of what this meant so I asked her “are you having a bad day?” She looked at me and rolled her eyes stating “I’m not here to entertain”. She then proceeds to make a drink for a coworker , meanwhile she is smiling , laughing, and joking but did not display this same energy towards us. A few more words were exchanged and I politely let her know that she was unprofessional and her behavior as a customer service representative was unsatisfactory, inappropriate, and not necessary. It’s the holiday season and I like to bless our waiters or bar tenders with a nice tip as folks have done for me in the past and you never know what people are going through, or if you simply make someone’s day 😊
I spoke with the manager who was EXCELLENT and quickly reseated us in the dining area with a new waiter ; LUKE ☺️he was awesome!! Very patient and even made a few jokes!
Apparently this is not the first time this young lady has had complaints however it has not been handled as she is still employed at this facility and getting away with treating customers with disrespect and poor service. I could have easily been the owner or CEO of the company or a relative. This is a poor reflection of the entire facility not just this employee.
If you are having a bad day do not bring that energy to work and especially do not take it out on complete strangers who have absolutely nothing to do with your issues . I understand that Covid has limited the quality of new hires however all employee candidates are not good employees . I likely WILL NOT be returning to this restaurant as my first experience was not pleasant .
Unfortunately, Covid has drastically changed the way we conduct business. Finding good help is definitely a hard task in itself, but we must maintain good order and discipline in order to keep establishment running smoothly and efficiently . First impressions, have a memorable imprint on those we encounter as well as build the foundation for core memories and lasting relationships . unfortunately this is a core memory, which was NOT positive..
I hope this young lady took something from this experience and will grow in the future because not everyone is going to “let it go and let management handle it” … be mindful
People may not always remember what you say, but they will always remember how you treated them
With kind regards; Dr. Prince, DPT, CIDN,...
Read moreWill NEVER go back! Made reservations for 2 online for Dec 27th 2020. During the online reservation process...they wanted to know the reason for the visit..ie..birthday, anniversary,etc... I selected anniversary. We arrived 15 minutes early and checked in, we were seated within a few minutes. While being seated the hostess gave us "paper" drink menus (see photos) and told us we had to scan the QR code with our phone to see their food menu. I asked if she could bring a paper food menu, she explained that due to COVID they are trying to do away with paper menus. I spend the next 5 minutes trying to get the phone to recognize the QR code...no luck on my android but the wife is successful with her iphone. Now our waitress shows up and asks if we are ready to order... We order a bottle of wine (Malbec) and I ask her to bring me a paper menu. She returns with a Merlot and asks if it's ok because they are out of the Malbec. We say no and ask to see the wine list again. She returns with the paper drink list and we select something else. She quickly returns with the correct bottle and places it unopened on our table. She then asks if we are ready to order our food..to which I reply that I wasn't because I have asked twice now for a paper food menu and have yet to receive it. She then looks disturbed and walks off. My wife is now done choosing her meal from her phone so I borrow her phone and find something to eat. The waitress returns and takes our food order. Remember that unopened bottle of wine... We now open it ourselves and pour our own glass. Two other tables near us both ordered wine and their waiter/waitress opened and poured their first glass. Our food arrives... My wife is brought the wrong dish, we had to flag down a hostess to notify them of the error because our waitress was nowhere to be found. I asked for soy sauce and sriracha... 5 minutes later it is brought to me.... My food is now getting cold. I am all but done with my meal and my wife finally received her correct meal. No apology from the staff, no attempt to make it right on our bill... Nothing. Overall impression of this place is..YOU SUCK!!! You say no paper food menu due to covid but you give me a paper drink menu... I call Bulls@$! Why did you ask if it was a special occasion (anniversary) but did nothing with it? Why do you open the wine bottle for some but not others? When you screw up an order...why don't you attempt to make it right? Never will I recommend this place! Would rather wipe my arse with a porcupine that patronize this place. Can't express enough how badly the service...
Read moreI will preface this by saying, I have dined at other PF Changs in Florida, and those have set a high bar, especially pre-2020. Although after 2020, quite a few of my favorites, ie schezchuan scallops, have been removed from the menu, it seemed as though those PF Changs located in South Florida kept up their food quality, atmosphere and overall excellence. PF Changs is typically my favorite restaurant.
Then, there's this location in Augusta. 1st off, alarm bells should have been going off, since we went on a Friday evening, and the place was mostly empty. This is NOT normal for PF Changs. One could see that there are few locations around, which would normally create a high demand. I brushed it off as people in the area wanting to hunker down in the evening, as this area is not known for nightlife. 2nd, the hostess didn't smile when we came in, as if her mind was preoccupied. Although we were seated right away. Of note, she had to dust of the booth seats with her hands, since the area was not cleaned, which is odd, since it was a a ghostown in there (less than 10 tables occupied). NOT typical for PF Changs. 3rd, on the positive, our waitress was super nice and knowledgeable about the menu, didn't need to write anything down, and our orders were correct. Her service was excellent. 4th, the food..... I consider myself an avid conesseur of PF Changs, having been going to their establishment since the late 2000s, the food was 2 our of 5 stars. My husband's fav is the Mongolian beef. How did the place get this dish wrong? Normally, the beef has a sweet yet crispy outside and is so delicious. At this location, the flavor was off. At the the chef came out and whipped him up some chicken, which tasted a lot better. My honey shrimp was pretty good. The hot and sour soup was a miss. My son could not finish his honey chicken, it didn't taste good. The pork dumpling appetizer was good. The lettuce chicken wrap appetizer was good. Of note, my husband mentioned the floor being sticky, and a general odd odor in the place. The tabletop looked similar to what it would look like in a fast food restaurant, dirty and it needed a buff or shine.
Overall, we were disappointed. We will cross this location off of our list. I can't recommend this PF Changs, which is disheartening, since the PF Changs brand has been our go-to to celebrate our wins as a family over the last 20 years. I think this location...
