Rude and Racist encounter. I’m usually not one to give reviews one way or another, but the experience I had was just appalling today. Today I went in to get an order for carry out. The lady who took my order greeted me with a colder jagged tone as if I was a bother. She took my order , I waited about 15-20 minutes then she placed my food on one of the tables in the restaurant. 3 other customers were in the restaurant at this time but the tone was a bit more friendly and inviting. She gave the other customers who just so happened to be white and male their orders at the same place where you order (closer proximity.) When my food was ready, I asked to Add to the order forgetting an item. (For the first order I used my mom’s card, then for the second I pulled out mine this will be important later) she looked at and me and looked at my card and asked me what I ordered in an accusatory tone , her accent was very thick, and at first I didn’t understand what was happening. She pulled my delivery from the table she placed it on the service counter, and asked me to recite my order. I recited my order in a shaky tone and then she took my card and ran it . She noticed that the last names matched the previous receipt (because it was my mother’s’ card) to prove that I wasn’t buying or stealing from the card. As she did this I told her , not once , but twice that the other card I used was my moms’ and that I just simply forgot to put that on the first one. After she visually verified that we were in fact related (by the last name on the cards) she gave a nervous chuckle, I thanked her, took my order and left. I’ve never had an experience like this in my entire life. I really don’t like to call people something huge like a “racist” but it was one of those things where you knew it when you felt it and the fact that there were not one, not two, but three other people who were in there and they were all white men and treated with so much more basic decency it just couldn’t have been anything else. Never will spend my...
Read moreI wouldn’t even give this place a one star but unfortunately to make this post I have to give it a star just to post this.
My husband and I wanted sushi at the sushi place in this same plaza but come to find out they weren’t open yet… So we had to choose another place to grab some quick lunch so we can get to our appointments. We walked in Egg Roll King and wasn’t greeted, so we just ignored it. My husband wanted some soup and asked the man where was the soups listed on the menu at and the guy opened up a different menu to show him all the soups that they offer on that menu but the guy never said anything as he’s showing my husband. So we thought maybe he doesn’t speak any English so we continued to place our order. As we were seated by the front desk an older white women walks in and immediately she was greeted in English and was welcomed in… They were speaking English to her just fine without her misunderstanding what they were saying to her. So my husband and I noticed that but then when another younger white woman walks in grabbing her to go order she was also greeted with a hello and welcome in… At this point we totally got the message that we were not wanted there but it was already to late to leave cause we were eating our food. When we were about to wrap up leaving, this Asain lady that was dining in before we got there was leaving out before we left and they told her thank you, goodbye. Soon as we were leaving my husband said thank you and they just looked at us and stood there. I’m so disgusted that I wasted my money to be treated as if we were non existent. I wished we would have looked at the reviews first before entering. So that’s my fault for not doing my due diligence on this restaurant or just anywhere we go and give our hard earned money to. I will never ever go back to this...
Read moreMe and my husband walk in...we're the only ones here. I ask the woman up front if we can see a menu since we've never been here before.
Her attitude? She is on her phone. She is visibly annoyed with us. She doesn't answer our questions about specific food items. Okay. I'll let it go. Maybe she is just having a bad day? That happens. So we decided to order some food anyways.
Food.... Where to even start man. We paid around 50 dollars for this awful experience.
Teriyaki chicken. The chicken itself was cooked with zero seasoning (unless you count sesame seeds???). The only teriyaki part was the ice cold dipping sauce that I'm pretty sure is off the shelf from Safeway. The vegetables were just frozen thawed tasteless bits. The fried rice that I paid extra for? Worst thing on the table. It was like someone took white rice and dipped most of it in day old egg drop soup. It was GROSS. The sweet and sour pork? You could get better at a mall food court or cafeteria.
If you're going to be a nice sit-down restaurant.... Then be one. If you're going to be a step below panda express.... Then own up to it. The food looks like it would taste good but it absolutely does not. I'll...
